I'll explain. This
was in the background during one I Am Legend scene. The movie was released in 2009, and took place in 2012.
Worlds Finest movie? Oh hell yes! I was hoping they would do this before doing the Justice Leauge film.
GUNDAMU GUNDAMUTruthfully, it makes sense. It's only been 8 years since we had the Nolan Batman reboot and trying a fresh, standalone reboot of Batman again is redundant. Granted, that didn't stop The Amazing Spider Man but with a fresh Superman mythology it would be a nice change of pace to what Marvel is doing. It also follows the Timm Justice League premise that Batman and Superman were already well familiar with each other before organizing the team.
Making a Worlds Finest to replace the current Justice League plans is a smart move, that kind of movie would easily get hyped to a level equal to The Avengers while not having to previously introduce 6+ characters. And giving them more time to get The Flash made and develop other properties. Assuming they can get past the current bureaucratic nightmare WB is having.
Color me cautiously optimistic. I don't think Man Of Steel's Superman would work particularly well with any other characters (he seems really difficult to Foil with anything other than an antagonist), and it might feel weird inputting another hero into that setting, but we'll see.
I guess we'll find out how much input Nolan had on Man Of Steel as well, and how versatile he is - this movie will probably need to be taken in a different direction with a very different approach than that one.
On the other hand, Batman/Superman is a way better idea than jumping straight to Justice League, and if DC had any two heroes that could work together for a major movie (depending on how it's written), it'd be those two. Those Wonder Woman / Aquaman is a really good idea too.

Only 2 years away? Best get Jonathan Nolan on the line...
This is the easiest and most cost effective way to get a franchise. You only need these two, no messing around trying to make anyone care about aquaman. If they really want though, it can be used to lead into Justice league adventures.
They Bring Back Michael Caine as Alfred. But they have a new Bruce wayne. Caine said he would come back if they asked.
Villains?

Lex Luthor could work, though I think he'd be better off saved for a Man of Steel sequel. Metallo might work better.
On the Batman side of things, I'd like to see someone on the higher end of the power scale, like Clayface. That way you can have a villain who can feasibly fight Superman without resorting to Kryptonite or something.
I think it'd be best if the villain wasn't someone really well-known or memorable. That way the focus stays on the World's Finest.

I guess it is kind of vague, but I got a certain impression that the crossover is technically Man of Steel 2, unless they plan on shooting both films at the same time and releasing MOS in the summer and Worlds Finest (which is what I will call it until the official name is given) in the winter.
Admittedly, there is all kinds of speculation that Lexcorp is going to fund the rebuilding of Metropolis but no one company would be able to foot that bill, which makes an opening for Wayne Enterprises to get involved. Or maybe specifically the Wayne Foundation to help with disaster relief.
If Lex is in this, I'd prefer him to be an indirect Big Bad, save him as the main villain for the next official Superman movie.
I know it might be Too Soon for the Joker to show up again, but I've always loved Lex and Joker's teamups so much.
But I think Snyder will shock us by making Mxyzptlk and Bat-Mite the villains.

I babble on about Disney and old film.

Well this is unexpected. There should be more news later today, however
. If this is true of course,
