It should have been the other way around. Random Penguin House.

Either Penguin House or Random Penguin would have been exponentially better. Why must corporations insist on being boring?

Does this mean anything for the literature community?

Any sensible consumer would feel COMPELLED to make purchases from Random Penguin House!

Random House Penguin is almost as good. How did management go so wrong?

I just hope Penguin's logo won't change.

I would also like to know. Or is this just a random FYI?

I don't know, do they have any publishing policies that would impact....anything? I guess publishers don't really do that. So it's just an FYI, yeah.

I guess it means they have even more of a stranglehold on the schoolbook market, but they barely competed in prices anyway, so yeah, it doesn't sound that big.

Well, e-book costs dropping is excellent news, at least.

The internal link explaining what this means to authors bodes less well in the long run.

EDIT: Ahahahaha
