A couple other ideas for future "episodes":
- The Einstein receives a distress signal from an uncharted alien planet. There they discover a civilisation of intelligent bacterial colonies, whose planet is on the brink of extinction. A recent plague of mutated algae is releasing the most dangerous poison known to their world... oxygen. Now the crew have to decide between saving a civilization or letting evolution take its course to begin a new Cambrian Explosion.
- The Einstein goes into orbit around an unidentified ocean planet. Unbeknownst to them, the planet is a telepathic, sentient organism, putting them into a telepathic lotus eater machine simulation while it slowly drags the ship into its ocean.
- While on a standard exploration mission, the crew of the Einstein discover evidence of an ancient, abandoned Grox colony and samples of their legendary technology, far from any known outpost of their Empire. However, a group of Puppeteers claim that this world belongs to General Products, and intend to use the Grox's technology to begin a manipulative campaign aimed at making the Grox self-destruct without firing a shot. Unbeknownst to both parties, their intrusion into the old colony has set off a proximity alarm, alerting the Grox to the presence of both ships...

Looks good to me. I'm a big Dark Forces fan.
(What does it say about me when my first question about a ship populated by a variety of alien races is "what would the contents of their fridge look like?")

Well, at least we'll know the ship is safe.
...Wait, no, they're all redshirts.
Though, so far we've got a firebender, a Predator, a soldier with turrets and all the guns, a Jedi...
...Yeah, I think the ship is gonna be safe.
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIFor some reason if I do get a second character, I want to bring in Marina.

@Fridge: Seeing as we use replicators, we wouldn't have any main fridges; we can make any food out of just energy. Any fridges we do have would only be used for authentic, non-replicated foods, which would be a minority only used specially, not main dishes.
@Predator scout: Hmm, does he still have the personal cloaking?
@Mini-RPing: Well, since I'm still waiting for the go ahead to post Raz's sheet, why not.
"Our first day of travel is going nice and quiet. Only a few minor internal problems, and we just left Alliance space..."
"I've been taking the last few hours to overview the files on the crew. I couldn't help but notice we have an oddly high number of people who are especially skilled at flying the ship. Even accounting for shift rotations, I don't see why we would need any more than three; it's not like the console is going to be exploding in their faces regularly or something."
-skip ahead-
"I was just down in sick bay to give the chief medical officer my current medical records. I'm... Not really sure what to make of her, and I'm having a hard time reading her face; it reminds me of one of those hairless cats. Anyway, she made some kind of face when she looked at my record, but I don't know if she was just thinking hard or what. I wouldn't be surprised if she tries to make me cut back on my drinking; every other medical officer I've served with has tried to. I happen to know that my drinking is within Alliance's acceptable limits for service, so I'll be damned if I'm going to cut back now."

You know what this reminds me of? Star Trek: Voyager. Also, I like this idea.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.
