Someone's probably going to label LEGO as "communist" for daring to have a corporate executive as a villain, like they did with the Muppets a few years back.

Am I the only one disappointed that there don't appear to be any Harry Potter characters in the movie? Collecting the Harry Potter sets was kind of an obsession I had as a kid in the early noughties.

[up] I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are disappointed about a lot of properties not showing up. Me, personally, I'm disappointed by the apparent complete lack of both Marvel and Star Wars characters.

Given how both of those are owned by Disney, it's disappointing but far from odd.

[up] Odd, certainly not. I completely understand why they're not showing up, but that doesn't make it any less disappointing. I think Star Wars especially since it's been one of their bigger licensed properties for years now I think.

I really hope that if this movie does well, Disney and WB can maybe come to an agreement that'll let them show up in the theoretical The LEGO Sequel.

The reason FOX went apeshit over the villain of The Muppets wasn't because he was a Corrupt Corporate Executive. It's because he wanted to drill for oil.

Which is quite frankly one of the oldest clichés in underdog stories so I dunno what the fuck Fox News thought they were accomplishing by taking The Muppets to task for it.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

I think it's kind of ironic how protective Disney is of their brand and yet how completely willing they are to borrow pay tribute steal the licenses of other characters and claim it for themselves. For instance, Wreck It Ralph nor Who Framed Roger Rabbit wouldve been nearly as appealing without the cameo characters. And yet the idea that they won't even share two of Lego's most popular brands just seems horribly pretentious.

.....OR maybe they weren't even approached and Warner just wanted to devote more time to their own crew. I don't know.

Disney acts like only THEY can make cameos in their movies that are owned by other companies, and no one else can!

Disney has turned into the Princess Morbucks of the animation industry. They believe since they came first, have more profit, and have their own theme park, they're entitled to do whatever the fuck they want to any property as long as they feel that's what gets kids to come to them and put their father's money in their pocket.

In short: FUCK YOU, DISNEY CHANNEL! AND BEYOND!!![lol]

[up][up]Hey, they gambled with Phineas and Ferb and Gravity Falls, so I'm not entirely angry at them. Also, I Didn't Do It wasn't too bad aside from the creepy Freshman-has-a-crush-on-the-popular-Senior plot, which only lasted one episode.

But if they put in Marvel characters, there wouldn't be enough screentime for WB to shill DC characters for the Justice League movie that's TOTALLY happening for realz this time!

Wyldstyle is certainly an........... unconventional name! Wonder how they ever thought of it.

We probably said the same thing about someone around a decade ago. His name? Takua.

I'm already tempted to buy the movie soundtrack just for that song alone.

Largely in part so I can sing more than just the first three lines.

EDIT: [up] I guess it's better than nothing.

Is the soundtrack already out!?

Went searching and all I found was a looped instrumental track that plays on the movie's official website, called "Emmett's Morning". I guess it isn't out yet!
