Just thought I'd chime in that I liked Scratch & Grounder. Still do.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyYou can try and find it on Mangafox.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI feel like only 5 characters would be boring after a while:/
It's fine if they're the main characters but other characters should at least appear time to time.
Hey, it worked for Tom And Jerry. (Yeah, there were tertiary characters, but they didn't quite have much of a spotlight most of the time.)

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. But if you have anyone other than those five, you're introducing shitty friends which automatically invalidates everything the piece of media does right ever!
(I really hate that argument, if the sarcasm wasn't apparent.)

Moon◊Hey, a small cast can work.
A cast with 270 characters probably not. And yes, im talking about the Tite Kubo Formula.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.Just a video discussing what we've been discussing already.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI think the franchise just has a problem properly spotlighting it's supporting cast, either over spotlighting and playing them in lead roles over Sonic or diluting them to periphery characters that don't actually develop or contribute anything. Some of the worst examples are a bit of both, being overplayed, but never being developed outside the basics for a supporting role. No one likes a character that's forced in our face but never actually does anything.
Sonic X and Sonic Satam I think are the worst contenders for this (outside the infamy concerning the games themselves of course). Aosth and Underground had problems too, but utilized at least a bit better execution and moderation.
Huge casts can be popular, they just have to be handled well. Ensemble Cast shows usually do well in this regard (Friendship Is Magic and Thomas And Friends have a defined 'lead' character for example, but people love them just as much for the other highly spotlighted secondary characters).

Then why not set it like this:
Sonic and Tails are the main focus of course, while Knuckles is the drifter who Sonic bumps into from time to time, focusing on an adventure story for that episode. (Eg. He is part-time Treasure hunter.), Amy and Cream are roommates living in "Mobius City" or whatever, and Dr.Robotnik/Eggman attack the animals in the city to lure The Blue Blur out and the city will be Sonic and tails' hangout for chili dogs. Shadow, Silver, Rouge and others should be seen very sparingly like how some characters on "The Looney Tunes Show" have careers and jobs. Amy episodes will focus on trying to alure Sonic in Tom & Jerry chase style, having Sonic play the Butt-Monkey at some points. Eggman still has Scratch and Grounder, uses traps and freeze rays, all the Aosth junk(Only more competent). That's how I see this show coming together.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceHe doesnt need Scrath and Grounder, now he has Orbot and Cubot for that. But overall quite a solid setup.
Seeing as how it's going to be written by someone who worked with South Park and the fact that we're in 2013, it will most likely be more ridiculous than Teen Titans Go! and filled with the type of fan arrogance and Lampshade Hanging Sonic Paradox is known for (how Sonic runs through Green Hill Zone all day and is ''the only character that matters / allowed to do anything.
Sega in Japan should just make another Sonic X series, focused on Sonic's world (without Chris Thorndyke). However, because of the fact that most of the arcs are based on game titles and that anyone who isn't Sonic or Eggman has been pushed to the sidelines, it wouldn't be much of an anime.

No less of an anime than any other anime that was adapted from something. So practically every anime.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. But, Without Scratch or Grounder, he won't be able to say "Pingas" like a he use to!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceOh well, it's for the best. And besides, what we need are less memes. They landsliding the intelligence on the internet. Remember when the PC was for those who took its resources seriously?
And judging by this new "show", in a single year, almost every Sonic site, Tumblr page, and Youtube will be cluttered with memes, destroying the blue hedgehog's current rep even more.
As if like no other franchise from the 90's was suddenly turned into the next big meme. I think fans will find something worth memeing in this if it were going to be created. The internet has it's ways!

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYeah, and look how that turned out.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you.""Meme." You keep using that word...I don't think it means what you think it means.*

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. For the record he said it in the comics too. http://sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Archie_Sonic_the_Hedgehog_Issue_205 It was very fun issue. And no Scratch and Grounder.

I'm not sure what the true definition is for meme either, but the general idea is:
"Retarded image or thing that people laugh at and spam all over the internet because they are bored"
Cat images, Falcon Punch, Mama Luigi, a slight inflection in the line of a pompous cornball, a snow owl, Sonic's face (after getting hit by Eggman's laser) in the opening cutscene of Sonic Unleashed, a facepalm (from any series), Luigi's face from a CD-i Mario game, lord knows what else.

Run for your lives like the Blue Blur folks and get ready to see pigs fly like the Yellow Tail, but it's okay to be as dumbfounded as the Red Rock because yes, this is happenin'.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987given the working title, i will be slightly disappointed if this isn't the theme song.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. What the fuck did they do to Knuckles
He has fucking fingers
he's always had fingers. it's just that he's been wearing mittens up until now. and i've been used to the idea of Knuckles being huge since i saw this fanart.
