The answer is yes, lasers are fine.

I just didn't think of it at the time. I'll probably throw in sword beams if my character ends up on the wrong end of the power curve, if that's okay with you, miss GM.

power he knows several styles of martial arts. He has trained himself to be one of the great martial masters.

short bio: by the age of 22 mcmillar earned himself the title as one of the best bounty hunters in the world. before then he was a street racer in the rather rundown area of calhabitation g53. believes himself the best and appears to have the moves to back it up.

yes he is an unashamed ripoff of captain falcon but I wanted to try something funnier...

Name = calhab short for Caledonian Habitation Zone

Type = mega city

Location = former scotland

Description = Once upon a time scotland was a part of the united kingdom. They got their independance and began to wall themselves away from the outside world. A new mega city sprung up in which the entire country became as one split under three territories. Glasgow (G) edinburgh (Ed) and Aberdeen (Ab) Their housing system is called calhabitations and they are almost mini cities in themselves. As well as housing the calhabitations provide shops, entertainment, education and other needs so that caledonians never need leave the megacity at all.

Glasgow is the poorest region their calhabitations shoddy and ramshackle. Violent crime is rife here and life can be short there.

Edinburgh is the richest. Their calhabitations are perfect and pristine. their folk are well educated and almost snobby. they look down on glasgow and refer to them as proles.

Aberdeen is the inbetween. they are the farming community providing themselves and the others with services and foods.

Bio: Nobody knows who this dude is. Seriously. He doesn't talk to anyone and isn't even seen going into restaurants and similar establishments. One weird thing, though - he uses magic without any apparent external power source. And that...kinda freaks people out.

I already approved that one, PM shiny and chuck as well though, so they know what there dealing with. :)

And since we seem to be missing humor, unless any one objects Cleavland is Glassed and Detroit is Nuked, they were destroyed in a regional conflict over the tittle "Not the worst city in Amercia" .... you know that river that catches on fire? Its always on fire now.

Furthermore, Scandinavia and Germany have developed into a slightly different direction over the years.

Basically, they are kind of like a more modern Skyrim, ruled by Technoviking Warriors who managed to keep their supremacy by being too metal to handle.

Hmmm, let me propose a race I wanted to introduce, it's ok if you use one, I don't mind.

Name: Icemen, мороженщик, Paraponera Sapiens

Age Expectancy: 80-90

Type: Sentient icy ant people

Place of origin: Russia

Powers: Ice Magic, expert on toxins, craftsmen of insectoid arts

Physical description: Human-looking with pale blue skin, glowing irises, icy antennas. Certain individuals may have wings.

power: various ice powers, ice magic, proxy mind control (can control weak willed people and animals at a certain radius)

weakness: fire, weak mental barriers.

Description: Underground ant people that reside in the underground caves for thousands in order to escape the hellish winters of Russia. For centuries, they adapt to the deep cold of the caves and enthralling insects larger than themselves to used as cattle, and surviving on mushrooms growing underground. In 2066, a scouting party of the icemen appeared in the Moscow Metros, angered that the humans there took over Russia, they declared war on Russia to reclaim their rule over it. However, Russia's military and technological superiority overwhelmed the iceman which ended in their surrender. Since then, they adapted to the surface but due to being underground for so long, social interaction has been difficult for them but surprisingly, they would rapidly adapt to Russian culture and some even immigrated to other parts of the world as the "Icemen of Russia".

I have a potential use for my character's abilities that I'd like to clear with you folks beforehand. Given that my character is an AI residing in a computer nestled within a human's skull, it would be plausible for the computer to survive the death of the meat-body, would it not? (I mean, unless someone cracks open her skull and smashes the hard drive.) Someone else could later recover the computer and put it in a different body, right?

I don't have any specific plans for this, but it could be an interesting plot device down the road.
