Sisters =/= a split personality. Besides, are Lightning and Serah actually sisters?

Yes, they are. In separate bodies, unlike Geminine and Gemini.
Geminine and Gemini are...a really weird case. But the tone, the events and all that are completely different. The two sisters, one gruff and no-nonsense and the other more airheaded is really, really common.
Like I said:
That's how they're just like Lightning and Serah if you ask me.

You could make the argument that they're like Kyou and Ryou from Clannad as well. Doesn't mean anything.
Imagine if Geminine and Lightning have this conversation.
Geminine: I hate myself.
Geminine: For trying to get revenge on the one who killed Mifune against Gemini's will. It only hurts me knowing I hurt her.
Lightning: I know how you feel because I'm like that, too. I hate myself for not trusting Serah. Like you said, it hurts too much for me, and her.
Geminine: What have I done?
Lightning: What have I done?
Geminine: I'm so sorry, Gemini.
Lightning: I'm so sorry, Serah.
Yes, it's an interesting coincidence, nothing more.
On another note, I'm kind of annoyed none of the other Sakura Wars games came out here. There is apparently a fan translation kicking around, but I haven't been able to find any new information on it.
I have played the Galaxy Angel trilogy though, and it has a similar set-up, albeit with a space RTS in the levels instead of a turn-based strategy.
I really like the dating-sim battle sequence gameplay flow, and almost no one else uses it. The most I can find is something like the Agarest War series or the Ar Tonelico trilogy and Agarest balances the system really badly and Ar Tonelico is more...skeevy at times? I guess.
Even their relationships with others could match up. For example, Geminine's relationship with her sensei, Mifune could be compared to Lightning's relationship with her boss, Amodar. The difference, Mifune is dead while Amodar is alive.
Well, if Geminine has a horse to ride on, so does Lightning. You know, Odin...

I still think your reaching as they are not that a like in personalty.

Imagine if there is a sequel to Sakura Wars 5, Gemini dies while Geminine is alive, but becomes the sole resident of her body. Besides, if you watched the ending of FFXIII-2, Serah dies while Lightning is alive, but crystallized.
I can easily see the comparison, so why can't you?
Because it's all in your
Gemini's relationship with Geminine is that she's her aggressive, revenge-driven split personality eventually gets over it. How is the relationship between Serah and Lightning anything like that?
Well, Lightning gets over the fact that she can't trust Serah.
Does she share a dead mentor with Serah and is driven by her strong desire to avenge him, despite Serah's pleas not to?
Even their relationships with others matched up. If you think of Geminine's relationship with Shinjiro, it matches Lightning's relationship with Snow. After all, they, you know...
That did not happen so your point is moot. Your reaching like crazy to find similarities.
Okay, you told us your theory, we thought about it and remarked upon it. Can we please move on?
You completely ignored my question.
If you've got something else to say, go right ahead.

For your question, no. But still... If you think about it, it's kinda like Lightning's relationship with her alive boss, Amodar.
All this talk about the fifth game, and not a peep regarding the original 4 games.
Understandable, since no English version (outside of translation mods or the same sorts) are available, which made most people unaware of them. But come on, this thread is about the whole franchise right, not just the only one released internationally?
yes but theres not much to talk about them when theres not much info about them available to us english speakers
I know. But there's an LP of the first game by Spirit Armor (he translated EVERYTHING) that you can see by checking the Sakura Wars page on this site. Sadly you have to have a Something Awful account to see it; kinda weird that I used to be able to see it without being a member before years ago.
Well, seeing most of us probably aren't SA members...

Anyways, let's talk about the other aspect of all SW games; the romance part. Which girl did you pick or will pick?
