I like the gruffness of Grumpy Kong. Dude's got that abrasive edge, but like he's just here to do his job, and he ain't gonna sugarcoat things, preferring to tell them as is. I know it's a character archetype that's done a lot, but he's a reminder of why it works so well.
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.
And conversely, he doesn't take things personally, nor make things personal. As a villain, very respectable and makes his Heel–Face Turn convincing.
Cranky: "He didn't exist at the TIME, ya whippersnappers! They musta just added him later, honestly!"
Self-professed Wild Card who thinks cynicism isn't so bad.I found a great comment on the final boss theme
: "Honestly, with the way the beginning of the second half is timed with the cut to K. Rool soaring his way up to the Banandium Root, it's almost framed like he's the hero getting his big shonen anime second wind. Even with the world on the line, K. Rool's return is such a cause for celebration that even the game itself can't help but briefly cheer him on against you."
EDIT: This one too: "A whole new generation of Donkey Kong fans has joined us in never putting down our controllers after initially defeating K. Rool."

The Protomen enhanced my life.![]()
I mean, it can't really be a species name considering how many Kongs are different species.
That, or "species" doesn't mean much in the Mario universe.

The Protomen enhanced my life. The answer to that is pretty obvious.
There's only 2 games.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Doing a Low% run now that I've done a 100% run of Bananza. It looks like you can take your pick of skipping either Ostrich or Zebra, as well as skip Snake. Speedruns look like they're skipping Zebra, but still picking up both Ostrich and Snake, which makes sense: those two combo well together, and the things you have to do to skip Snake is... well, it takes a while. Sand is coarse and irritating, you know. Still, this Low % attempt has been interesting. There's a lot of stuff you just don't have to do with the right skills or general game knowledge.

it would be really funny if the low% was JUST Kong Bananza, and i'd really like to see what the Final Boss looks like with JUST Kong
Welcome, my little friend! Or should I say...friends?
(x3) Huh, good to know. In which case, the only mandatory Bananza outside of Kong might be Elephant: even if there was a way to get the key to the second sublayer without using its ability, the boss fight for that world/layer would be impossible without it as far as I can tell.
...But then again, while the final boss itself is possible with just Kong Bananza, I have no idea how you'd go about navigating NDC to get to said boss fight without either Zebra or a combo of Ostrich/Snake.

Considering how many people were theorizing that Void Kong was K. Rool in disguise. I wonder how those two would’ve reacted to hearing those theories. Same with the other Kongs including Poppy and Grumpy

A random song lyric that I'm surprised hasn't become a meme related to this game LL Cool J-Don't call it a komeback, I've been here for years. That feels like an easy AMV to make.
