Browsing the forums the past 10 minutes or so, I've noticed that the sub-forum index pages seem to flip randomly between the normal display, with an inch and a half or so of margin on either side, and a wider display, where there's more or less no vertical margins, and the text is spread from one side of the screen to another.

It doesn't affect the readability of the subforum indices, but it did strike me as a bit odd, especially since there doesn't seem to be any particular pattern to it. I haven't changed any display settings on OS (XP Pro, 1440x900x32 on a 23" WS monitor), browser, (Firefox 21), or TV Tropes from before this behavior popped up, so I don't think it's on my end.

I had that too, a minute ago. The threads themselves worked fine, but the subforums (a) were superwide and (b) had the blue TVT header parts with search boxes etc. moved to the bottom of the page.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

What I've been seeing is the ads and header sporadically disappearing

Actually, moving to the bottom. And I can't edit posts, apparently

Seeing this too. Took screenshots for a comparison if it's needed.

Also, I think one of my posts was just eaten.

Forgot to look for the normal header, but yeah that's what I saw too.

^^ I had that problem a moment ago with a post edit not taking, but I tried again right afterward and it kept the edit.

I've had stuff at the top of the page falling to the bottom as well. As far as I know, the edit problems have been happening for a while, though.

I also notice that the forum herald messages are malfunctioning, as well as some wiki edits.

Is this thread screwing up for anyone else? I see no posts whatsoever, although apparently there is one. (It's right here in TW.)

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Yes.

Also, when I edit the URL of an addpost function to point there, it first opens up and then says "No such ID"

And it doesn't accept new posts.

I've gotten a post in, so I've asked the OP to repost the report. Now the post count is showing one post and it's my post, although previously it showed one post and that post was by someone else (don't know who).

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

I guessed it might be him so I searched his posts before making mine, but making that thread wasn't among them. Fair enough, anyway.

I'm also getting intermittent variations of "page/post/topic not found" as I browse the forum.

Sometimes it's acting like I'm not logged in and it won't let me log in either. Refreshing sometimes clears it up, though.

I'm getting randomly linked to the log-in screen whenever I click on something.

Sometimes the forum topic list won't show up. Refresh may or may not do the job.

Me too.

I logged out on another device, and now it keeps telling me my I haven't given my handle every time I try to log back in.

Each time I post, it redirects me to a screen that tells me I haven't displayed login information. If I hit back enough times to get out, it turns out my post was successful anyway.

Hope this info helps.

I'm also having issues- The site deleted my login cookie, and when I tried logging back in, it insists that I didn't fill out the handle box, or I get a message- "Could not open socket."- On an otherwise blank page.

I sure said that!

For some strange reason, whenever I try to login on my computer, I only get a blank page with the message: "Could not open socket."

What's going on here?

... And just like that, the problem is suddenly over, as mysteriously as when it started.

It's being worked on right now. Fast Eddie noted it on Ask The Tropers. Likewise, it's on the Headlines too.

Also, an earlier troll called drti complained about this. It's likely that he is probably the cause of this.
