Alrighty, so let's see... Aken was asking about who would have heard about each other. I dunno. My character certainly isn't famous, and I figured her dad as a young man was a minor adventurer motivated by Rich Boredom, who would certainly be known by the people in his own social circles, but probably not well-known by most regular people, so her last name might not be that familiar either.

The Noble character I'm playing will be a girl, so...

[up][up]I think everyone's a dude, so I would assume anyone with a female character.

So, I'm writing the bio for my character, and I wonder if he would be better as a son of a general, or of a noble who owns some famous iron mines and smithies.

Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.

Well, the Noble ticket is his only way into the ball, so I'd keep that.

Let me rephrase that: a Noble General, or a Noble Weapon-trader (and -maker).

Just some further information of Johnson's Father, in case he should come up in the RP.

Lord Fredrick

The Lord Fredrick is one of the most personally invested men in the conflicts on going, and he had watched, when he was young, as his three older brothers corpses were brought home from the battlefields and interred. This seemed to fundamentally change him, going from an outgoing, joyful boy to a reclusive academic, devoted to finding a way to permanently end the conflict. He succeeded his father Randrick, and became one of the youngest to attain the honored "Duke of Kousha" title. However, soon after his ascension, his mother attempted to murder him and instate his younger brother, fearing the young Fredrick for some reason. He retaliated and she and his younger brother died.

It should be noted that he and his younger brother were previously very close. From that day on, Fredrick disliked communicating with other nobles, and spent the majority of his days underground, in chambers staffed by people sworn by oath to never discuss what was done beneath Castle Disteth. There were whispers among Castle Servants of horrible, demonic sounds from beneath the Castle.

Amidst the forced silence, Johnson was born to Lady Relena, one of the few noble daughters that other nobles were willing to send to marry Fredrick. Lord Fredrick absolutely adored his son, and raised him to be a kind boy, and did not try to restrict his friendships. However, the horrors downstairs did not cease, in fact, some said they intensified. Johnson frequently had nightmares about what those sounds might have been.

And then it happened. Johnson followed "a man" underneath a tower, and found what his father was doing, and "the true, evil nature of Lord Fredrick". He ran away from home after that, and has never spoken of what he saw. Not even to his closest companions.

Ok, Two things

  • Am I the only one who sees Brandon and Johnson getting along well?
  • Remember when I said that this would be starting on the 21st? I lied. Mark the 14th guys.

I am ready if Maestro approves the bio. Also, would you agree to add the exploits of the Masked Thief to the world-building thread?

That's fine. You're accepted, and you can definetly write some stuff for him.

And just in time too! IT BEGINS!

So.... do we just throw our dudes wherever, or what?

Wherever should be fine. Just don't have any mercenaries wandering into the Ballroom.

By the way, do we have any thieves? I'm working on the leader for that plot thread right now. Sorry for the delay. I had to go on an unexpected road-trip today.

Just to make sure, the characters who are guests don't start with a weapon (even a ceremonial one), right?
