...Well, at least I now know for sure what I have long suspected. The current generation was born lobotomized.
Looking for some stories?Safety Not Guaranteed was apparently pretty good, and that was based off a meme. Still, they better work really hard for a good Grumpy Cat film.
You know this is just the premise for a future Grumpy Cat macro.
I MADE A MOVIE ONCE.
IT WAS TERRIBLE.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOThere's a meme called Grumpy Cat?

All your safe space are belong to TrumpI have no problem with the premise of the movie.
From the look of the traier, though, I have my doubts...simply because Tardar Sauce doesn't sound deadpan enough.
Personally? If only he wasn't too expensive to cast, Robert Downey Jr would have made a better Grumpy.
.....Or, if this was R-rated, Quentin Tarantino.
Watches the trailer in its near entirety
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Hollywood has finally lost their shit.
Sees that it's actually a holiday lifetime special, NOT a movie
This is the greatest Lifetime xmas special I have seen.
Really what it boils down to is I have very low expectations for Lifetime in general, so this can only go up from here. If only the Angry Birds Movie could turn out to be actually a Nickelodeon special too.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Wow, this is a thing. It's really gonna happen.
Also, Grumpy using that "machine gun"...
My only complaint is probably about the Christmas' vibe. Surely the cat would hate that.

Suddenly, I'm thikning of something like Reservoir Cats, starring various memetic cats.

Honestly I think its better that its a low-budget Lifetime special instead of some ridiculous big-budget Hollywood "blockbuster". A funny little Christmas special is fine, we don't need an Internet Meme Movie that cost billions to make.
You there! Check out my Youtube Channel! The power of Ponies compel you!I see somewhat of a chance that it could turn out to be clever, but ultimately I'm expecting to have most of its wit used on one-liners while the plot itself is merely a Better than a Bare Bulb sort of deal.

So, we remember that Slender Man movie talk, yeah?
Here walks the next meme to film:

Grumpy Cat –the king of the internet cat meme – is breaking off from the computer screen and heading to the silver screen. Grumpy Cat’s agent has sold a one-picture deal for a Garfield-like feature film in which Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, will star and, yes, talk. Grumpy Cat is no stranger to the camera. The grouch’s official You Tube Channel has over 120,000 subscribers and over 20 million views.
While some may be surprised about the meme-to-movie path, Grumpy Cat is one of the most successful internet memes around. “This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy,” Todd Garner, one of the producers of the Grumpy Cat film told Deadline. “You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character.”

Well, this will be just like Fred. But it's going theatrical.
