So, Trump is trying to get past the 14th amendment and end Birthright Citizenship. I honestly don't think this will work.

I'm surprised that the Democrats didn't object to that this time. They're only objecting to it because of the distraction from health care.

I don't think it will get off the ground, despite his determination.

So, I've been paying attention to the election. There have been some wins and some losses. I'm kind of bummed that Beto and Gillium didn't win, but they were pretty close polls and the democrats won control of the house. Overall, while it wasn't a big blue wave, it still happened either way.

So, Republicans kept the Senate, while Democrats reclaimed the House.

...After all those hubbubs, it's almost disappointing how this election turned out pretty much just as most people from both sides predicted.

Well, I personally see it as kind of a victory.

They really need to stop overhyping every election that comes along.

So I guess things are more even now in terms of voting, right? In that case, it seems like there's going to be even less stuff done since a good portion of the House is out to impeach Trump instead of just waiting two years to rally behind a fresh face.

Yeah the point of amendments is that they are basically super laws that transcend no one branch of government can take. The only exception to the rule is the 18th but that shouldn't have been an amendment in the first place

What are your thoughts on Howard Schultz’s run for President

I’m not going to say he can’t win. I’ve already learned my lesson about that. I do think that he will end up getting more votes than the average independent

I say Pass the Popcorn and see what fate beholds us.

I’m probably not voting Trump in 2020. But I may vote for Schultz depending on the status of the Green New Deal

I really think that some of these "woke" candidates can be full of it.

I agree. Some of these things are not feasible.

I also think it's a bad idea. "Sure, let's all get rid of our cars for electric ones even though it'll make a lot of waste."

Not to mention the fact that some so-called green solutions have their own environmental downsides as well.

Plus it seems like a lot of jobs are going to get cut because of it

So, Trump has literally declared a National Emergency in order to get his wall built. I honestly don't think it'll work, in my opinion. There's no national crisis, just a man raising a fuss over nothing.

I wish the wall wasn't the hill he wanted to die on, but here we are, I guess. I don't really see the point because what if he loses to whoever he faces in 2020? All that work would have been for nothing.
