Can't see why not. A tendency means that there are exceptions to the rule, as well as a different expression for every Terrestial (spending different amount of time pondering/with Aether, etc).

We could also really old Terrestrials that have essentially left their bodies entirely

I'd prefer not though. Bodiless Terrestials are too much like the Celestials and I really want the two to be different this time round.

What if fusing completely with he Aether essentially kills them? Also while for hose who live in the material plane see the Aether as immaterial, for ethereal beings the Aether is as material as the material world. That way some Terrestrial Gods can spend their time hunting Daemons.

I'm thinking Fae have the ability to manifest into the Material.

But yeah, one idea is that some Terrestrials 'Ascend' by basically dying but sticking around as powerful spirits.

And another thing, I was thinking Fae could attain Terrestrial Godhood too. They essentially have to get the same thing as a mortal but approach it from a different direction.

I like them keeping their bodies

Yeah, I don't like them ascending into a bodiless spirit either. It makes them like Celestials too much at that point and goes against the idea of Celestials being a part of reality as opposed to being individual beings of their own.

I was thinking they'd be more akin to Fae.

By losing their bodies I meant dying.

If they ascend after death I'm okay with remaining spirits, but becoming a god shouldn't cause their bodies to just poof.

And I think when Terrestial Gods die they should at least lose their god hood if they remain as spirits, otherwise they just "ascend" into a bodiless form after death pretty much.

I don't think that's how it should work, that's tying the magic to their body; weaken them perhaps if they were barely a god that could happen

Yeah, I was thinking being a god was something that more happened to your soul.

[up]This, obviously some magic will leak from the soul into the body that way if for some reason a god did lose their physical form, they'd lose some power but not enough to revoke godhood unless as I said earlier they were barely a god to begin with.

I was thinking you'd have to be a lot more than 'barely a god' to undergo this 'transformation'.

Fair points, though you still end up with the situation where you have dead gods that are basically bodiless gods.

Or we can work with Terrestial Gods being unable to die permanently- wen they die, their bodies get reconstructed by their Celestial Gods and they awake somewhere (and given that Celestial Gods are not really sapient the location is random with limits to the randomness).

A Terrestrial God dies, it needs a place and time strongly reflective of what made it go God in the first place, thus allowing it patron Celesty to surface close to the Material and then the Terresty bursts through the veil between Material and Aethereal like a chest buster.

Followers of the sorta dead god will then pull of elaborate plots or ritual to get that very thing going. The stronger the god, the more juice it needs.

[up][up][up][up]Wait, I'm confused. Do you need someone to channel the recreation through? I mean, now the Terrestrial God would "possess" someone else's body forever?

And how much does that happen? I'd say not much, or else Terrestrial Gods would start to pile up.

I think it largely varies. Some gods just bamf a new body in, some need a new body, some just need some assorted part of various kinds.

We are talking about resurrecting a Terrestial God here. There will not be any more gods overall.

Okay, let's clarify what you mean, I'm a little confused.

Also, wanna talk about ley lines and nodes, had some idea for that.
