I swear that line made go laughing! I like the game's humor, and I think this may be due to it feeling more like bullshitting with friends than a stand-up comedy or sitcom. There is a strange charm to the goofy stuff, this gives the game the effect of smart comedies. When Undertale made me laugh, I was able to trust it when it wanted to shift in tone.
I enjoyed this game more than Citizens of Earth which I actually loved... Two worthy sucessors to Earthbound/Mother, wow!

I watched the first hour of the worst route and the weird part was that what got me was something I don't even think you need to do to finish it, but that you only can if you're on the road to a bad time.
It kinda preaches at you to stop being an ass, but it's when it let's your actions speak for themselves that it really gets uncomfortable.
Ugh don't remind me
I have a feeling Undertale has pretty much spoiled that free fan-game Mother 4 for me... Guess that is what happens with Development Hell at times, some folks will show up and make better games than yours. Not to mention killing any chance of a budget by making your fangame bigger to the point you built a custom engine for it.

What about the snowman?
Also, after going seeing the end to the Pacifist run aka the True Ending...yeah, even if I do decide to get the game on PC, I wouldn't have the stomach to do a Genocide run.
Though I will say that Flowey's a real dick...at least until you find out the truth about him.
EDIT:
Somehow I can picture the guy who made this going "Aw, nuts."

What does it do if you don't quit a Genocide Run at Sans? I keep seeing warnings about how you have to stop at Sans or something something something but nobody actually explains what the consequences are.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.It permanently ruins the happy ending. Since only way to play the game again is to sell your soul :P
Also, seriously, could someone tell me the exact point when you can still quit? xD Like, can I quit at final dialog or even before the animation is finished?

If you beat the game after killing Sans, as opposed to just quitting and starting a new game, you're required to "sell your soul" in order to reset. Doing so semi-permanently affects your game, giving the True Pacifist ending a stinger implying that your murderous self has somehow survived into that ending and will kill everyone there too. Basically, it prevents the game from ever ending on a happy note ever again, no matter how many times you reset. It's not perfect though, and you can delete the files if you know where to find them.
Also, you have to wait for 10 minutes of blackness for the game to start up, so a lot of people just assumed it broke the game entirely until told otherwise.

If you see chara you are already screwed. the exact point is somewhere around when you murder flowey which is after you kill sans then see the king.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Ah, so the cutscene can't be started?
So is cut off before battle scene or before Flowey dies? Or before you enter the room meaning final thing you can do is killing Sans? I did hear you can have him comment on his death, so I guess that makes sense if that is final point when you can return to previous save. Still, interesting if you can still quit it before Flowey dies but after Asgore does ._.
Kinda scary Toby was that through with it <_< No escaping from consequences once you have went that far xD

Dude, of course I've seen videos of it, how else I can plan a quitting point if I don't have reference to scene I plan to quit in middle of? xD Though I actually watched genocide run stuff because I wanted to see Flowey's take that in perspective of audience. And yes, I did seriously watch ending for sake of planning when to quit in case I ever play genocide, just in case :P I'm weird person like that.
Thats assuming I ever actually dare to do that run :'( I can't do runs like that even on normal games xD

I kinda sold my soul when I watched youtube video in first place, its all downhill from here ;-;
Though mostly it is because I kinda might want to play Sans' boss battle(I kinda like difficult frustrating boss battles) assuming I can ever actually play that far since I haven't in ANY game actually done that, but I'm feeling kinda obsessed with "Well, I went this far, shouldn't I go as far as I can before no point of return?" since I don't want to edit save file stuff. I also don't really want to sell my soul to computer program so I can play a game again, thats just unsanitary. But I probably can't actually do that since I'd feel even more guilty. Seriously, I get guilt tripped too easily. I actually felt guilty before watching genocide run because I heard of take that :P I still feel guilty about it. I'm planning in case feeling guilty about watching it makes me play it as if that would paradoxically make me feel less guilty for actually doing it just because Flowey said I'm worse than he is xD Slippery slope kinda stuff :P I also felt guilty about wanting to play the game again after true ending due to Flowey being like "No thats cruel, please don't do that" and I still kinda do

I'm not sure why you'd even want to in the first place
Ummm...because some of us don't really like it when the game is Playing The Player the way it does?
Also, I questioned how a version for video game consoles would be impossible...but after realizing how doing the Genocide run leaves an impact forever and ever, I think I now know why we shouldn't expect a PS 4, Wii U, or any gaming console port anytime soon...
^Admittedly that too xD I kinda want to do take that at [insert name here]. Even if that doesn't logically make sense since playing to that point would be cruel and kinda stupid by "Wait, so you are spiting character by doing what they want up to certain point? What". Its not really rational feeling, it is after all based on the feeling that I should admit I'm horrible person(because I watched it on youtube) by actually playing it, but I don't want to ruin the happy ending in another reality. <- Lot of thinking about a game in in game perspective xD Funny what breaking the fourth wall does to my psyche. I don't usually think about my actions in relation to game characters, I usually think about main character's actions in relation to characters..
But mostly what I said in wall of text spoilers.
Doesn't really matter though since I'm not sure why the game where I actually like characters I'd be able to do something I'm not able to do in game where I don't care about the characters :P
...BTW, its kinda annoying in a way that this is type of game you can't have multiple people playing on same computer because it assumes one individual plays it xD I mean, yeah, its cool, but its also kinda annoying since it can't be shared

Aww man, now I feel more embarrassed by extending my wall of text spoiler text debate with myself(since you already replied to post I was editing) xD This game man ;-; It causes complex contradictory feelings in me
Oh well, at least pacifist run is something I'm definitely doing over and over Though I'm still bad person according to by what Flowey said :'( Dang you Toby Foooox, why did you make it feel so good to play this game and then make it so I'm bad person for playing it xD

It adds a file with an unassuming name to various places on your system, that won't get deleted when you reinstall. The purpose is obviously to make the player live with the consequences of their actions, except for the fact that people discovered it and asked on the internet how to delete it, thereby undoing their actions in a totally meaningless gesture of insecurity.
Jurassic Park was right: life finds a way.
