Specifically, it be my OTP.

Dark Ranger from MMPR. Chose it because I'd recently done a refresher on the show and was amazed how cheap the costumes were, particularly on a show broadcast nationwide. I chose this one as it was the best close-up the show had to offer. (full res version really accentuates its cheapness) I remember being saddened by the fact they were just a one-off, as it could've been an interesting recurring element. (and I always had a soft spot for Evil Twin characters like Negaduck)

Its a drawing I made of myself (or rather alter ego Big K) in MS Paint. I drew it to basically mirror the default TV Tropes avatar icon as way to distiniguish it from all my other profile icons.

It's not actually a sniper doing yoga, it's actually a snipercrab(Look closely at the face) from an sfm video named Snipercrab.

Kurloz Makara, except he's also a pimp in addition to being an alien juggalo. This particular version of him originated from this post on the Hunger Games Simulator thread.

My avatar is Stavros, a character from the failed 2008 pilot "3 Dog Band". Stavros is a German, Funny Animal dog and plays the keyboard in his band. He is somewhat strict and orderly, and is the most mature of the trio.

Lucy from Elfen Lied, but a lot of folks here already recognize her. I uploaded her at the same time as Oersted, the pixilated other "tragic" avatar. In spite of her having a gun here for some reason, she almost always attacks with "vectors"/"diclonius arms" which are invisible with near limited number and reach. She belongs to a rare human subspecies, and ends up being their queen in the manga.

But back to the tragic part...she got picked on a lot due to her funny ears, and then some bullies killed her dog in front of her and she snapped...subconsciously killing an entire room with her vectors, including a girl who flat out betrayed her. She had issues with both control and "scale of retribution"(dear god, the train scene), eventually getting captured and spending most of her childhood in a containment facility where she was experimented on. She escaped...bloodily, but got shot in the face (protected by a helmet, but she got a concussion) and has a split personality named Nyu who's pretty docile...and a bit frisky, heh.

Stopping there to avoid any serious major spoilers, I think she resonates with people due to her outsider status, and the way she handles the crap that the rest of us have to wade throughout our lifetimes can be pretty satisfying, even though it's not a response any normal person should ever take. She's loosely comparable to perhaps Yagami Light in that regard, but she's way more indiscriminate with her retribution. There's also a bit of an undertone (series-wide in particular) how much better her life, and the lives of the other Diclonius, could be if humanity were kinder.

It's also very, very tragic. Like hard not to cry tragic.

70th Anniversary of Black Canary.

Aichi from a later season of Cardfight Vanguard. I wanted to have a picture of him from either when he *SPOILERS* is using PSY Qualia or whenever he was possessed by Link Joker. I couldn't find a good picture of the former and I managed to find this one. I like the picture and he looks quite snazzy despite the look in his eyes and the red aura!

Probably not the best idea.

This particular screencap I'm pretty sure comes from the last episode of season 3 of the anime, when she's asking Shoji why he wears a mask all the time.
