The Bio seems pretty messy, so I definitely can fix that up if need be. I should mention I didn't add a lot of stuff for A) Spoilers and B) I have no clue what to write. Though, could we suggest possible content to include or do you already have a fixed idea for the basic plot outline?

Well for starters, in our continuity Gendo is the one who died/vanished under mysterious circumstances and Yui Ikari is Commander of NERV, thus explaining why Shinji and Rei have no part in this. The four new recruit pilots (that would be Units 01-04) will be waiting for Kikuko to come pick them up in a van to take them to HQ right when Sachiel attacks, and Arianna will be sent out in Unit-00 to engage it at first, with Gabe in the control room probably having limited success until Kikuko gets back and takes charge. From there, I guess we'll have to determine how badly Unit-00 gets beat up and who gets the honor of going out to help.
After the first battle is over, I suppose we'll get to work setting up living arrangements and initial social interactions for the characters. I know Kikuko has Misato's role, but I'm okay with Gabe being a guardian to one of the kids as well - just expect him to have a suitable reaction when he realizes he'll suddenly have to share his living space. Of course, you all are free to make up your own living arrangements for your characters too.
...I really haven't planned anything specific yet for immediately after that, though I definitely have some other ideas to incorporate a little later on, and I'm also willing to entertain suggestions from you all. After all, that is why this thread is here.

Whatever her plans or the reasons behind them would be (vastly) different correct? Well, I was thinking we could use scrapped material that didn't make it in the anime and use other Evangelion sources to decide things. Though, do you know of the Angel Chromosome XX line?

I wanted to see if he knew what it was first, but its less the moe and more a concept from it. Since there's already Rei, it doesn't seem too far-fetched there could be other Half-Human Hybrids as new Angels are encountered.

..Sorry, it just kind of reminds me of what someone tried to do in the original... Thankfully it was stamped out pretty quickly but the idea was one of the few things about the original RP that I try to forget due to how, uh... Yeah. >.>

Granted this might have been because I was a bit busy suppressing my urge to strangle Yuki, but...

Funny you should mention Yuki, since... It kind of involved him. Uh, his player had this dumb plan that he was trying to do without even telling the GM, and when she found out, uh... Yeah.

So yeah, have decided that Hikaru's sisters totally look like this

Uh yeah, I definitely don't plan on doing anything with the setting that would be too drastically different from what you would see in the anime. The only other official sources I might use for inspiration are the first two Rebuild movies (not the third, which I don't expect to see until it comes out on DVD in the US) and possibly the manga.
One specific example of a battle I'm going to drastically change from the show that I guess won't spoil too much is the Gaghiel battle, which considering we have all of our pilots to begin with won't take place at open sea and won't be introducing any new major characters. Instead, I want to have it off the east coast of the First Branch in Massachusetts so I can introduce aspects of Gabe's backstory and flip the culture shock tables over on your characters for a while (well, most of your characters).
But yeah, please work with me if you want to include any spoilery aspects to your character. I really want things to stay plausible within the setting, and so far it has.
From the sounds of things you don't want to start taking inspiration from Rebuild 3 since it falls right off the bridge and does its own thing with little connection to what's gone before.

Yeah, I think that plays into it too from what I've heard. Don't get me wrong, it sounds interesting and I'm excited to see it eventually, but considering I haven't yet and it's that drastically different from what I have seen before, it would be hard for me to incorporate.

Um, anyways, Rebuild 3 is waaaaay too different form the original series and I'm not going to get into my opinion about how it plays things, but, um, basically it's a good idea not to take inspiration for this from it.

I should also mention the pet idea I have for a lighthearted team building exercise: Baseball Episode.
And uh, I'm not trying to be too self serving with these ideas I've thrown out there. If any of you have ideas for specific situations based on your own characters' personalities and backgrounds, I encourage you to share. I'm just not going to come up with those ideas because well, you know your own characters better than I would.

How much could our characters be capable of corrupting key events that they would know of/have a part in?

What exactly do you mean by corrupting events?
Your question only makes sense if these were people getting Trapped in TV Land. They are not. This is their world, ergo they have no foreknowledge of events and cannot "corrupt" them. Events may or may not unfold differently compared to canon, however the characters will not be able to intentionally derail them.

Well anyway, I am prepared to potentially have the actual RP thread up by later tonight provided no one has any objections to that idea. Don't worry, I'll try to make sure everyone has a chance to post at least once before things start to pick up right away.

I'm assuming, besides the already stated differences, it would unfold similarly to canon until something gets changed. I used the word corrupt for lack of anything better, and I pretty much meant events playing out differently or not even happening because of our characters. Speaking of, should we try to stick to canon?
