They also had stuff for adults, too. (Not like THAT! Get your minds out of the gutter!) There were old movies - not just Disney ones, stuff from MGM and Fox that would only show on TCM nowadays. There were reruns of Walt Disney Presents, an EPCOT-themed educational show, and Mousterpiece Theater, where George Plimpton hosted old Disney cartoons in a parody of Masterpiece Theater. Best of all was The Disney Family Album, which profiled various old Disney artists; it’s how I first learned of the Nine Old Men.
I've been reading a good AU fic based on Turning Red, wherein Mei has a twin brother named Shu, he turns into a white tiger while she's still the red panda, and his best friends are Carter and Stacy, characters who got VERY little screen-time in canon but most likely they'll get more focus. And his Big Brother Instinct kicks in when Tyler starts posting Mei's drawings of Devon around school. Currently the story's cliffhanger is right after Mei ran home in tears in the movie.
I mean his hunny addiction.
Also Piglet with sclera is way more cursed.
And it just dawned to me plenty of DTV Pooh vids aren't in Disney+. And randomly watching the first episode of the New Adventures (the series in the 90's) and right off the bat it has the gang in Robin's house and even in the movies. You rarely see them outside of the 100 Acre Wood let alone a contemporary setting (in the live action it was still relatively the post-War).

> So besides the oddness of using Winnie the Pooh for such PSA, would it be accurate to suggest he isn't the best example considering how much he goes for Honey?🤔
Pooh is the last character they should have used,it comes from a time when they clearly had no idea what they were doing or who their audience was
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverSo if Inside Out 2 overtakes the Lion King remake’s box office, what are the odds that the Mufasa prequel can overtake Inside Out 2?
You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Small. I imagine Mufasa will do moderately well, but it won't do nearly as well as The Lion King remake (which looks like it'll soon be beaten by Inside Out 2). People watched the remake because it was a new way to experience a classic film, and to introduce new generations, but I imagine the audience for this prequel will be much smaller.

Plus there’s the third Sonic movie opening the same day.

You’re Gonna Carry That Weight.Yep. Might as well have Shaggy and Scooby-Doo.
ALF's inclusion is funny cause while he had a cartoon that was had no drugs, an early live action episode sees the alien getting himself and Brian Tanner some Coors.😋
That said, apparently Mickey, Donald and Goofy were to appear in place of Huey, Dewey and Louie. Anyone know a source to verify such?
As far as Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue goes, I expect they used Pooh because he had a show on the air at the time. All the characters appearing in that special had shows on Saturday morning at the time it was released, except Huey, Dewey and Louie who appeared in Ducktales in daily syndication (Bugs and Daffy were still appearing in The Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show on ABC). Shaggy, Scooby, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck were all initially supposed to appear, but were dropped for unknown reasons—I should say, though, that none of them were appearing in anything current at the time (dunno if that's why they were dropped, but there it is—and technically Shaggy and Scooby were appearing in A Pup Named Scooby Doo, but not in their most-familiar iterations).

The more cartoony human characters (Hook, Smee, the Queen of Hearts, or the Evil Queen in her hag form) tend to be masked characters in Disney parks anyway - though oddly, the Mad Hatter is usually a person in prosthetics, probably because he's such a dialogue-heavy character, and masked characters tend to be mute. Perhaps that's why they went with that route for Doofenshmirtz as well, even though the result is deep in the Uncanny Valley.
It makes some sense that Buzz has a plastic mask because in the context of his own work, he's a toy, not a human being (unless we're talking Lightyear).

Ironically most of those shows were on their way out when Cartoon All-Stars premiered. It was the Smurfs' last season; not only was ALF's cartoon canceled, but so was the original show; Alvin and the Chipmunks only had one year left on Saturday morning, and the Real Ghostbusters and Muppet Babies didn't have long to go either.

Ah I forgot about him being a talkative. Good point.
Oh god I just finished Winnie the Pooh (2011). Shame it bombed, because it was essentially Winnie the Pooh shitposting.
I remember how everyone here was like "Oh that awful Lion King remake is the biggest animated movie. So sad it will probably stay that way" and then Inside Out 2 absolutely destroyed all records, I really hope it dethrones it. I know it was hard to predict Inside Out would dominate like this, Disney had so many flops lol.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.
