Rule-Abiding Rebel seems to be confused over what it is. Some of the examples suggest an objective trope — "rebellious character isn't so rebellious". But others are more subjective. To wit:
Examples like spray-painting "Obey the rules", "Cruella hitching a ride with a motorcycle gang who wouldn't exceed the speed limit", etc. are one trope of their own. Those are by no means subjective, and are often rebellion Played for Laughs. Examples like this don't need to be lumped into YMMV pages, because they're not YMMV.
Examples like "Likewise, while Jane Austen's works are undeniably astute and satirical, her heroines adhere to and fulfill the expectations society placed on women in real life, which might make its "feminist" reputation a little dubious to some." seem like a totally different Audience Reaction that is mostly unrelated.
In short, this is trying to be two tropes at the same time, and it needs to be split.
