It's okay. Could have been more creative than another "Go Go Power Rangers" type but it does stand out a bit from the others

Wow. That might actually be the worse power rangers theme song I've heard. Like, it's giving Operation Overdrive a run for its money. Heck, I'd give OO this, it leaves more of an impression by sheer awfulness. This went by leaving no impact. It's so bland.

I don't have high hope for this. It's clearly a filler season made to occupy space while the franchise changes hands (Notice Saban credits). And the song really sort of speaks to "We're just spinning the wheels"

I like the Operation Overdrive theme song, personally. That said I'm seeing speculation that this is a shortened version of the Beast Morphers theme since it lacks voice actors for the Buddyroids and doesn't show all the major characters. Would be interesting if true.

Beast Morphers is confirmed to have two seasons though. There's some speculation that the second season might adapt Zyuohger but that's just a theory at this point. Either way, with two seasons I'm not sure calling it filler is fair, especially as we haven't seen any episodes in full yet.

Crap. I'm really tired of the two half-season thing Saban has been doing lately. I was hoping we would have moved past that.

I find it very unlikely. Zyuoh has a totally different aesthetic and almost everyone would have to change colour.

I could see Zyuoh just being another skip. The suits aren't as bad as some people say but the mechs are all just blocks and it'd be even harder to shoehorn a collectible in

I don’t know that any season will really be skipped, honestly. I would have said that, but then they went back several years and adapted Gobusters. I’d say that Toqger, Zyuhoger, and any other “skipped” season is fair game now.

Trouble is there's no sign of loosing the two-year structure, so it's skip or be very behind. And Kyu, maybe Ryusoul look more easily adaptable

I would actually be interested in seeing them try to replicate a multi-year, multi-sentai structure. The 20 episodes a season may be difficult to squeeze in a seasonal arc (half of a given season is formulaic so that the Myth Arc stands out in comparison, plus the heroes use and reuse the zords, weapons and other power-ups they acquired earlier to sell more toys), but the plus side would be having a better chance to get to know the Rangers. That's one of the main reasons First Installment Wins, through sheer longevity the first and second year rangers had enough time to become synonymous with the franchise.

Alas, a driving reason to refresh the teams in the first place was because Hollywood unions were getting on their case for not paying union rates, and it's easier to avoid that hassle if you have a constant rotation of actors.

Not really? Go-Busters has Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver as colors while Zyuohger has Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, White, Gold/Silver/Black (The World), Orange, and Purple as colors.

Keep Red, Blue, Yellow, and either Gold or Silver the same (The World) and change either Gold or Silver to White (Tiger). Cut Elephant, Bird, and Condor from the adaptation.

There, you're able to combine Go-Busters and Zyuohger's adaptation with minimal color changes.

You're funny. Legitimately funny.

I mean the only other solution I can see is adding three more characters to the roster either as permanent members (Which makes juggling them all harder.) or as temporary members who only show up occasionally (At which point why introduce them in the first place?).

Go-Busters has a male blue and female yellow, while Zyuoh has a female blue and male yellow. Tiger's also a woman so that'd only work if they make Silver female (which granted, they might). Elephant is part of the main team, so cutting him would scrap most of the footage.

Bird probably could be cut, as a hybrid season would mean changing the plot radically rather than a more direct adaptation and he didn't transform much. Condor appeared once in a movie and was a miracle fusion of Eagle and Bird, so would probably be another Talon situation and not get used.

It's also worth noting that while they both have animal motifs, it's mostly different animals. Though granted that's stronger than some Saban seasons.

All fair points but I'm sure they remake the costumes for PR anyways rather than reuse the Sentai ones so the gender thing shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I don't know how they handled the transition from Angels to Pirates when they combined Goseiger and Gokaiger but it shouldn't be too hard to explain a change in animals.

I guess the biggest issue, not counting the toys, is Zyuoh Elephant. If we take the idea of cutting Bird and Condor that mentioned, introducing a new character to be an adaptation of Elephant could work as that'd be a team of six as opposed to one of eight, which is much more doable.

They use Sentai Footage. That's the entire point behind Power Rangers.

Beast Morphers 1

The whole 'fakeout red and yellow rangers' might have worked better if we hadn't seen all the promotional material, or indeed the theme tune. Ditto a certain character and some filming pictures.Also I get that this is establishing they can fight but randomly starting a weapons fight in the middle of a karate class would reflect very badly on the teacher.

And we have our comic relief duo.

Ok, so they're going full continuity. Not only is not-enertron related to the morphin grid, Rita and Galvanax were name-dropped.

That was pretty good. Obviously can't judge it all from episode 1 but a promising start. Several people being trained for the team but only one actually ending up on it reminds me of Jetman. I get that they had already done the DNA infusion but they did seem to accept the rookie Rangers pretty quickly; hopefully we get some more on them trying to adapt in the next few.

I agree, the fight in the gym raised eyebrows with me, that's the kind of escalation that gets people pressing charges

Haven't seen the full episode yet, just clips here and there, but I like the vibe from it. It's like if SPD and RPM were high school sweethearts

I like Dark Buster and Escape Evolve bring used so early along with the Avatar concept.
