Must be a side effect of a Chrono Morpher.
Actually a lot of the PR cast look pretty great for their age including Amy Jo Johnson, Walter Jones, Dan Southworth, Nakia Burisse and Johnny Yong Busch.

That is because the series chooses actors who are essentially career athletes. Regular exercise has an anti-aging effect on most people. I personally lost 50 pounds in the last year and feel I look 5 years younger. My younger brother of 5 years is a lot heavier and people think he is older.
The thing I'd heard about traditional Sentai suits was that they're tighter and shinier than at least the early Power Rangers versions... What I noticed in the middle of Mighty Morphin was that the edges of the diamonds appeared to stick out from the suits quite a bit, so maybe not the greatest sewing job on those color patches.

Also the American-made MMPR suits have collars that look like neck braces.
"Yup. That tasted purple."And Tommy's shield is made out of padded cloth.
Power Rangers Beast Morphers - Official Beast Bots Names Revealed
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Oh yeah, I wondered if there was any confirmation of whether they built the shield that way because the original got lost or broken or was too heavy for their stunt actors. Somebody mentioned that it looks better than normal in "The Spit Flower", so I wondered if they happened to film those Command Center scenes before other Green Ranger episodes where it accumulated more dents. On the flip side, I remember observing that in Zyu 2 segments the shield had lost some of its shine and seemed to be pulling apart a bit more in the back compared to original Zyuranger episodes. So maybe it was too tough to perfectly preserve... But then I remember seeing a video of a stage show where both Tyrannoranger and Dragonranger were wearing one at the same time!
And I caught the Gogofive switching between styles of helmet locks a lot in episode 47, even when they weren't doing stunts.
I don't know if the shield specifically was damaged but I know a lot of the props either didn't make it across the Pacific or were worn down after time. JDF said everyone knew how bad the American version of the shield was. I do recall that the Rito Rivolto costume literally fell apart during Zeo and that's why he was never seen again, even in crossovers.
It was also said that a number of the props were really not that well crafted, toys and fan recreations we're actually better quality. I know that is true of a number of productions, quickly made original props can't compete with meticulously crafted hobbyists and mass produced toymakers.
Kickstarter for officially licensed board game. Looks interesting but I'll probably pass as I don't think anyone I know IRL would be interested.
Speaking of games, what developers would you put in charge of a Power Rangers game?
I like Legacy Wars a lot, but I’d be super into a fighting game handled by Netherrealm Studios.
I'd rather a company that makes good fighting games make it, but NR would get the fan-service down.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIt'd be interesting to see how they'd make the variety with characters that have an outfit that's near entirely one color, covers the entire body, and the fact that they have weapons in common.
Wake me up at your own risk.Legacy War has villains too and some teams only get one or two representatives, which I think works reasonably well.
The Netherealm suggestion gave me an idea: let's make up our own Injustice/MK style dialogues between characters.
Jason: What's this about you creating mosters with mind control powers?
Tommy: It's complicated.
Jason: Uncomplicate it.
Tommy: Let's settle this once and for all.
Jason: I already beat you once.
Tommy: We're not kids anymore Jason.
Venjix(RPM): I am the ultimate machine lifeform.
Venjix(Main Universe): You are still a creation of humans.
Venjix(RPM): And yet, I conquered my Earth.
Venjix(RPM): Be gone from my sight!
Frax: Is that a way to treat a fellow machine?
Venjix(RPM): You are no true machine, impostor!

Here's Robo Knight vs Mack.
Robo Knight: Red Overdrive Ranger, you're truly sure of who you are?
Mack: Well, just a Human hero, am I right?
Robo Knight: Findings prove otherwise.
The only good fanboy, is a redeemed fanboy. To the point where the Dino Buckler props in the Go-Busters/Kyoryuger movie were just relabelled BoA Legacy Morphers. Allegedly.

So Super Ninja Steel is the last season under Saban's watch and Beast Morphers will be Hasbro's first?
Still feel like Cyber Squad or Cyber Corps would have made for a better name. Also, this premise reminds me way too much of RPM.
Am I the only one impressed by how Jason Faunt looks like he's not aged a year since Time Force?
