Mighty Morphin's nostalgia is only going to last so long before it becomes clear it's getting stagnant.
Why they aren't cashing on nostalgia from the shows that are turning 20 or just turned 20+ is beyond me.
Like, you can only have the MMPR cast and villains be reinvented so long and shove in OCs for the first 2 years of the franchise to make storylines before it becomes repetitive and uninventive
Prettiest Meta Knight Gijinka, nglIt's funny, because in Super Sentai, the rangers being publicly-known and/or operating in an 'official' capacity is the rule rather than the exception, meanwhile Power Rangers only ever does that when theming necessitates it. I wonder why? I suppose it's down to a desire to bring them more in line with western superheroes with secret identities and all that.

There's some kind of irony that of all PR teams, it's the one team whose story copies Sentai so much it's practically exactly the same. Also why it's the second team morph specifically? I'm curious what's the exact reason for why it's this one in particular.
It's been clear for a while now, actually

I'd argue MMPR is already very much stale. Trying to use it for nostalgia bait seemed to somewhat work on a specific section of the adult fanbase, but evidently not enough to satisfy Hasbro (or previous brand owners for that matter).
The fact that we've already had an MMPR reversion (guess they couldn't call that one a remaster) which flopped hard is just another layer.
Plus there's the fact that of the original MMPR team, two are now dead, including the franchise's Breakout Character, and another is up to some rather skeevy shit. That's gonna make a revival pretty hard.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonYeah there's no need to revire MMPR since Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Alwaysis enough imo.
Also I asked you guys what do you you think about cillivilan power in the Disney Era. Please take your time and thank you.

"CHICKEN JOCKEY!"Sorry, I should have clarify more. What I mean is what do you guys think about characters getting powers outside of being morphed during The Disney Era? I mean shows like Ninja Storm, Dino Thunder, S.P.D., Mystic Force, and Operation Overdrive. Do you guys think it's a bad choice? Do you want to see more?

"CHICKEN JOCKEY!"
Oh my bad. Because that's when the concept of the characters gets powers outside of being a ranger comes from. I should have mentioned that I know that there are some characters that have powers outside of being a ranger that is before The Disney Era like Andros and Trip but I feel like it doesn't count since they already have powers for being a ranger. Sorry I wasn't being specific and that I only mentioned The Disney Era. Mayble I should have ask what do you guys think of The Disney Era as a whole too.
The main use is for fights while unmorphed, but considering the usually small budget means they're rarely used, add the fact that the sentai footage obviously won't have them, they don't leave much of an impression.
The Disney era as a whole is overall pretty good, though since I grew up with them I'm more biased towards them.

Nostalgic bait meanwhile stuff like Time Force, Dino Thunder, SPD, and In Space stand above the first season in terms of writing.
