...While I don't want this kind of thread to focus on Anita since this ain't a thread about her, just remember the trope No Such Thing as Bad Publicity.
By the way, female devs also think she needs to do much better if she's serious about this. Just saying.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Apparently thanks to events like the Fappening, Moot has to play along with DMCA due to law stuff. Visible here.
...Which is almost funny, because of how little it means since
1) Mods can't really enforce this on the faster boards because most of the threads already slide off the front page within minutes. Maybe they can purge the archives of images or pester the slower boards, but even then there's little point in these companies combing every single thread ever just for a single image to complain to the mods about.
3) They cover some of this copyright stuff in the Rules section
.
3) Unless I'm mis-remembering it, they already covered this since the beginning. Just stare at the bottom of the page.
So as far as I can understand, the real purpose of this whole copyright business is just for Moot to cover his ass. At least, I hope that's the real purpose.
Although I'll agree, August and September seem to be shaping up to be real crazy times.

Most of /v/ are just pissed she essentially used their knee-jerk overreactions to boost her career. Trolls hate being trolled, especially when it becomes someone else's profit and particularly when it's their own fault.
And I haven't seen any sort of real "culture cynicism" on 4chan beyond the three main places frequented like /a/, /b/, and /v/. Most of the other boards are usually pretty chill, especially places like /ck/ and /an/. There's not much bile to be thrown about when all you do is talk about cooking and animals.
