In endless missions rewards are given out in AABC rotations instead of ABC as even some veterans believe.

Syndicates give you many great rewards, but each of six faction syndicates have enemies. Leveling up four syndicates at once is time-consuming, but fairly easy and is very much worth it.

When you instal different damage types on your weapon, they combine in new damage type. Elemental combos is the way to go. Against grineer you'll need radiation early on, but, after you can muster many status effects, corrosive (damages their armor) is king. Courpus shields melt from magnetic and their flesh melt from toxin. Infested die from corrosive.

Until you get to, let's say, Jupiter, SOLO EVERY SPY MISSION. Early game, there are far too many imbecile Tenno that don't understand the simple concept of "don't touch the lasers".

Publick matches are filled with impatient people. If you want to do mission with slow pace, consider solo!

If you do invasion missions for one side, other one will sic their assassins on you. They can show up at almost any mission of their faction you do.

If you piss off grineer, they'll send Grustrag Three after you. They are pretty tough and they drop parts for Brakk shotgun pistol - once legendary, but now meh tier weapon. If you have risk of their appereance, play grineer missions only in groups and have at least one strong weapon at hand. If they down you, they'll put a bolt on you which will lower your damage against grineer and requires some resources to remove.

If you piss off corpus, they'll send Zanuka Harvester. If it shows up, sneeze loudly! In Harvester's mutilated remains you'll find Detron parts - once meh tier weapon, but now the best event weapon by far (that wasn't rewarded in event).

There is also Stalker who starts tracking you afer assassination missions. When he shows up, you die. That's it. After Second Dream quest, he "upgrades" to Shadow Stalker which is when you start farming him (he looses his insane damage and speed for durability). He can drop multiple weapons ranging from barely usable (Hate) to HOLY SHIT (Dread and War).

Hate isn't that bad. It's the worst of the melee weapons the Stalker drops, but as a scythe it's OK.

Scythes in general are meh at best, though. Maybe when the new melee mode drops that will change, but that was supposed to come with Revenant and there's still no sign of it.

last Info from the Devstreams (and thus subject to change) is that Melee 3.0 might, *might*, be the next mainline update

Haha.

So, about Syndicates, what's the best way to go about leveling more than one, or optimizing them to do 4?

I should make a point to max out Suda... but I'm just too damn lazy.

Anyone got Old Mate yet? Interesting... revelation.

Also, Pax Seeker feels pretty underwhelming at all ranks except R3. Pax Charge is great, tho, even at R0.

[up][up] Yeah, I reached Old Mate yesterday. It makes sense, actually. I was wondering why, if all the Solaris had their minds cyberized, Nef Anyo didn't just put a loyalty virus in the rigs he sells them. But since their minds aren't cyberized, he can't.

Even after playing it and watching some videos, this game seems way complicated with tons of little things and features that can easily be missed by a casual player such as myself, a parent of two with full time job. I'm not sure if I'll ever be on the level of even the most mediocre player even after a year+ of playing.

There is an absolute SHITLOAD of things to do in this game, but the smart move is to set a goal and head for that.

Focus on the star chart. The rest.....we got you, Tenno. We all lift together.

I've been playing on-and-off a bit for a while, but the past few days I've been getting into it a bit more. Personally, just between you and me, I blame the catchy Fortuna tune thing. It's been fun! Mostly! A little grindy, but eh.

Cor, that 'Stolen Dreams' spy mission was unforgiving. Wasn't just me, was it? You have to score three vaults — a single failure is an instant loss — and there's a big jump in difficulty compared to the usual spy missions you'll have done. Admittedly complicating this was my complete refusal to use ciphers or the like. I didn't have a stealth warframe, of course. But in the end I managed to hack into every vault without leaving a trace. Capped it off with the perfect heist, in the end. I'm a master thief, you know, if you discount all the times I failed. I thought it was a nice change in pace, honestly, but balance that with maddening frustration. Especially that time I got to the vault fine but failed because I couldn't do the ciphers in time thanks to accidentally double-clicking a few nodes. Grr.

I started out with Mag, but I've been using Frost Prime thanks to lucky timing with free trials. Considering I've done a lot more solo than I initially intended, it's probably for the best — he's been relatively versatile and the defense has come in handy. I tried out grinding warframes, so in about three days I'll see how Rhino and Excalibur compare. I also have Trinity Prime but I've only played her a bit with a friend.

I might not be understanding the boss fight right but incidentally Vay Hek is now my nemesis. I had a go but I just got frustrated after a while, having expended too much of my ammo on mooks. I wasn't doing much damage to him even during the very brief moments of seeming non-invulnerability.

Vay Hek is a lot easier once you realize you can just run straight to the end, ignoring the previous times he spawns and skipping to the final arena. He's still a bit annoying, but it cuts the mission down from twenty minutes to five if you have a full team.

A BIT ANNOYING? Vay Hek is the worst boss fight in this entire game, and I hope the sadist that designed it gets ball cancer.

Like I said, with a full team the entire mission takes five minutes. He's not Phorid "half the time he's dead before you finish spawning in," but he's not so bad. Tyl Regor generally took me longer; the actual boss fight was same or slightly shorter, but running up to him took longer.

I mean, he is poorly designed, I'll give you that. Any boss where you can just skip large parts of the fight is poorly designed, and he has too much of the invincibility that most Warframe bosses overuse. But in terms of sheer annoyance, he's not particularly high on my list.
