I agree completely with Bocaj's assessment. My thought is, now that we're faced with the problem of his existence, this fanfic author has come to the correct solution.
Now I kind of want to write about him trying to help set Akko up with Diana.
That would be comedy gold right there.
Though TBH, I can more see Diana being the one trying to pursue Akko in an adorably prideful way that leaves Akko completely befuddled as to what is going on.
Diana would go to a family member for advice, and the family member would remember really archaic, high-class Japanese dating and courtship practices that would just confuse Akko further.
"What are you doing with that fan?"
"I, er."
"Are you okay? Is it too hot in here?"
Diana then has an intrusive thought of herself saying, "It's just you," and dies of embarrassment.
Man, I can so see at the end Diana finally just asking her on a date flat out and Akko accepting with "well, why didn't you just say so?
Someone once applied that meme comic about someone being too oblivious to notice obvious flirting and a direct asking out to Diane and Akko and it fit pretty well
Forever liveblogging the AvengersDuranzo@ That fic I mentioned about Akko and Andrew as bros actually does contain Andrew attempting to setup Akko with Diana funnily enough.
I probably should have linked it in my first post.

"But if that happened, Melia might actually be happy. We can't have that." - Handsome RobYeah when I first saw him in the OP and in some of his intro scenes, I DID think he would be a love interest! Then it was refreshing when they didnt go that route. In fact the love spell in that ball episode almost felt like a jab at anyone who wanted him to be one!
That said, I just wasn't invested whenever Andrew's family was on-screen, and was very nervous when they had such a presence in the climax. Dunno. Maybe it wasn't written as well as the moments in Lunar Academy.
Well, until the series ended, there was always the underlying concern that he might decide to try and become a love interest out of nowhere.
It's something I'm worried about now that there might be a season 2.
Okay but after we've had the people creating it talk about how they decided it would be better not to make the dude a love interest I think we can stop worrying about whether the dude is going to become a love interest.
Given even Word of God has subtly shipped Diana and Akko, I don't think we're going to have issues with Andrews.
What Word of God was that? The only hint I remember was them tweeting that shippy sketch of the pair on the broom after the Cavendish episode.
As I recall, I think it was mentioned that everything Akko needed to learn about love? She had Diana and Chariot for that. Need to find the quote.
I think someone official also drew a NSFW picture of Akko and Diana though I am not going to look that up to check.

This song needs more love. That's neat...seriously.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Good to hear there's little reason to fear.
Speaking of that school, I'd enjoy seeing more Dapper Amanda.
The quote Lightysnake mentioned. Since it leads off with a question about Akko developing as a character I'm pretty sure that said character development is what they're saying Akko has Diana and Chariot for, but the fandom at large has naturally gone with the gayer interpretation.

x4
That's interesting. Mind sharing it via PM?
I've never seen it. I just know that it exists according to the YMMV page (and again, I have no desire to look it up).
It was Yoshinari who drew it if that helps.

This song needs more love. You know what would be fun? A Wangari episode. An episode where Akko helps Wangari get a big scoop, and they spend half the time pushing one another to greater heights of enthusiasm.
Wangari: !!
Akko: !!!
Wangari: !!!~!
Sucy: I want to die.
The TRIGGER Patreon live-stream is tomorrow! :)
So what happened with the Patreon stream?
Not sure. ... funny story, I misread the schedule as taking place in 3 PM EST instead of 3 AM, when I am asleep, so I missed the whole thing.
TRIGGER's Patreon finally uploaded a temporary video of the livestream drawing. It mentions how they were busy plugging the recent PROMARE movie trailer, so I think TRIGGER's English-speaking marketing team is very small.
Andrew is like a character intended to remind us Akko was hetero....and then that kind of just got junked midway through. Diakko all the way.
