I like "All Loving Hero" the most out of the current options. It's the most precise.

I prefer "All Loving Hero" over "Love Hero", because it's misleading to calque it from Science Hero or Guile Hero: those are heroes who use those traits as advantages in the conflict, whilst here we have more of an attitude to the world that is not under any control and can hinder as much as help.

However, my own vote is still skewed from the incident way back. Is there any way to reset my own votes on a crowner?

Change the vote? My votes are fine, by the way.

Done, but I had to change "up" votes to "down". Anything I might be doing wrong?

Only thing I can recommend is to vote on all items until you get the desired result.

I added a new one, "All Loving Individual" so that in the future we wouldn't need to make special cases or potentially a new trope for when those cases where The Messiah isn't a hero or even the protagonist.

Because it was asked here: A Protagonist Shall Lead Them was written to cover the pre-Christian idea of "messiah" as a leader and deliverer, before the term was Hijacked by Jesus.

All-Loving Hero won out. Shall we make the change?

Yes. That said, we may consider redirecting The Messiah to Messianic Archetype.

[up] I second that. The proper uses of this trope are next to none.

Just as a clarification, after the rename of this trope.

Considering that there's quite a lot of use for the trope, even a small percentage would still amount to a lot, so calling it "next to none" is a bit misleading.

Are we sure that the misuse is so bad that nobody uses it right? I've nothing against the rename, really, but if even half the people using this trope were using it right then they'll probably go on to misuse it if it's turned into a redirect. Could we do something like turn it into a temporary disambiguation?

I count thirteen misuses to eight correct uses, counting some you weren't sure about with Inuyasha (I think) and Medaka Box. Unclear or zero context don't point either way. That's enough for a rename, but assuming all the other unclear or zero context examples are wrong seems premature to me.

[up][up][up][up] In my time browsing around literature, video games, and anime, I only remember seeing one or two correct uses but countless incorrect ones. Maybe it really isn't next to none, but it sure felt that way.

I know I'm a bit late to this discussion but how about Agape Hero as a name? Agape (pronounced Ah-gar-pay) means unselfish love, without sexual or erotic overtones. An alternative would be Altruistic Hero which has a similar but not as intense meaning.

Added Agape Hero to the crowner. Altruistic Hero does not sound like this trope.

"Agape" means "in astonishment"; I'm not sure how that's relevant to this trope.

Ok. Nevertheless, voting no on that because the word has multiple meanings, not all of which relate to the trope.
