Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

I remember that while I was logged out I couldn’t view the Content Violation Discussions forums, so could that be another example?
That would make sense, given how much flack the site got when P5 was implemented.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallOne thing I've noticed is that there's quite a large amount of South Park page images nowadays.

I think the current admins made CVD only viewable for logged-in users after it was retooled last year, rather than that being an Eddie-era change from when The Content Policy was first implemented. I could be mistaken, though.
I noticed that the Asshole Victim page is one of very few I've seen that links to its respective cleanup thread, which I'm wondering if that's even necessary to have since other tropes with more active cleanup threads don't have that.
It also calls it a dedicated cleanup thread, but I wouldn't really say that 6 pages of activity within a span of 3 years is really "dedicated".
Should I bring that up here
?

I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.It doesn't mean "dedicated" as in "people are focused and at work", it's "dedicated" in that the thread is only about Asshole Victim.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall...oh. Well, hopefully I'm not the only person to make that assumption* .
I can understand why that kind of link would be useful on the Hate Sink page, since there is typically a lot of debate on certain characters' qualification there.
I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.Re: that old archived forum page: curious that the Literature forum used to also encompass fanfic.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I removed the banner from Asshole Victim because mod discussion determined that we only need banners for TRS threads and not Projects threads.

I got a rock for Halloween.Does anyone know the full list of Deprecated Namespaces?
The only ones I know are
- Disney/
- Discworld/ (apparently this existed)
- Light Novel/
- Machinima/
- Synopsis
LARP/ was merged with Roleplay/ earlier this year, but it was so underused that clearing out out didn't take long (I'm positive I took the bulletin down as soon as migration was done), so it's understandable if you forgot about it.

I got a rock for Halloween. The opposite happened with the Platform/ namespace, whose creation was approved earlier this year (I handled the crowners for that thread), but the decision wasn't implemented immediately. I've noticed that the migration of pages for media platforms to that namespace (after they were originally namespaced as Useful Notes), so it's good to see that progress is being made.
That same thread did approve of the MediaNotes/ namespace for other pages that are/were classified as Useful Notes but were determined to not fit the mission of Useful Notes but are still relevant to works, but I'm not sure if any progress has been made on that, in contrast to how work on the Platform/ namespace has been going smoothly based on how many Cut List requests for pages moved from UsefulNotes/ to Platform/ have been submitted lately.

I got a rock for Halloween.
It's mainly because we haven't drafted the description/main page index for Media Notes/ yet
The namespace migration for Platform/ only really took off after the Platforms page was finalized and the namespace got listed on Namespace, thus making it official.
After that, I and several other tropers filled up Wick Namespace Migration and the rapid nature of the migration began.

...I don't know how I forgot about Wiki/ despite the fact that I remembered LARP/, with the latter being even more underused than the former. That, and the fact that this site is a wiki and has a policy page called This Is a Wiki because of it.

That's fine. Namespace changes often take time (I say often instead of always because underused namespaces like LARP/ and Wiki/ take less time than projects for larger namespaces).

I got a rock for Halloween.There was also Bollywood/.
Some other work-specific namespaces were H2G2/ (for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), TheDarkTower/ and Harry Potter/ — formerly, the individual books of those series were under those namespaces instead of Literature/.
I remember the old Disney/ namespace, don't think I was around for any of the others, or at least I never saw them (While, as you can see, I've had an account since 2020, I've been an avid visitor since around late 2016/early 2017, and read the wiki on-and-off a bit before that)

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonSpeaking of Wiki/, as silly as it sounds I kinda miss the page for Lost Media Wiki. Namely its Trivia section (such as Troubled Production) and how the YMMV page listed "Albanian Spongebob" as an example of Memetic Mutation.
Does anyone else miss something that was removed from this site despite understanding why it got cut?

Summary.Video Games is a page that kind of breaks my soul. The same could probably be said of the entire Summary namespace, but Video Games being the closest thing I have to an area of expertise, that one particularly gets to me.
