Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

im really more like the bacteria lurking in the food

au contraire, and i am never going to stop finding weird arguments naming based on "but Europeans haven't heard of this work or term!" funny
the more annoying thing are people overusing "chairs" for whatever they dont like anyway
i may be dead inside but at least i have Mystery :,)"Chairs" haw definitely become a bloated term that many don't understand because over time it became synonymous with "not a trope"... but there are more ways to lack tropeworthiness than being chairs-y, such as by being a nonexistent pattern.
"Natter" is another concept I often see misused because people basically use it to mean "word cruft"
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wall"Natter" sounds more like a "bad writing" term than "word cruft", in a bouba/kiki way.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NONatter is also a redirect, probably because it doesn't mean anything.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Well, it means conversation on the main page. It doesn't lack a definition, it's just a word that not everyone will get. It's just "the bad editing practice"

Let's not single out other users here, particularly ones not part of this conversation.

I got a rock for Halloween.IRL I have several important academic tasks I need to work on... yet since yesterday I've been hooked on Entry Pimping the page for an obscure, long-defunct subsection of the PBS Kids website, as one does. I didn't even know that part of the website existed until then, save for a Flash game I liked as a kid (which I thought was its own thing).
"Let's hear it for Nine Inch Nails! Woo, they're good!"The problem is that we use "natter" in an idiosyncratic way. Outside of that, it's fair to use it for any rambling paragraph that goes off on tangents, no matter the indentation.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. Is there a thread for Sandbox.Pages Incorrectly Moved By Custom Title? I want to help, but it's unclear which pages have and haven't been moved, and for which of each two pages the wick counts are for.
When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviorWe just use the thread for requesting page history moves for correcting those titles. This post
used that thread for that kind of move.
Edit: I think it would help if the sandbox kept track of which pages had already been moved for pages that have the correct name as a redirect instead of a red link.

I got a rock for Halloween. He created the wiki with Janitor and Gus. The later before the site got formalized I think and Janitor disappeared sometime between 2009 and 2010

See ya, I think. Gonna go do other Internet things?

Well, I'll take the salt if it means the site will keep my sodium levels from getting too low again.
