Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

The Tick and Lilith: [liked that]
The former's Character Catchphrase is "SPOON!" while the latter said "Stay mad" after punching Philip Wittebane.

Rather than saying that any one faction of TABLE "won", it's more that the wiki has gravitated to what Fast Eddie has as his signature from the very early days:
"Ideal: clear, concise and witty. Acceptable: witty."
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.![]()
I thought it was
Ideal: Clear, concise, witty
Acceptable: Clear
Default: Witty

I'd like to apologize for all this. The number of trope names that were just pop culture references is now far lower today than when I first joined. Which is nice since it was the equivalent of someone posting an image answer to someone's question without any context, assuming that everyone knew what the poster was referring to.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.My OG account was a pop-culture reference, though personally I knew the show wasn't super popular and I wasn't expecting anyone to know what the reference was.
You're allowed to if you ask the mods first, just to make sure there's no funny business.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallDespite not seeming so at first glance, my username contains a trope name, and it's not by accident.
I'd like to apologize for all this.
If you're referring to Lemon, I actually thought it was just a reference to the fruit and not the trope.

I got a rock for Halloween. My username is a character from a game I don't actually play and it's entirely because it's the username of a Minecraft account I borrow from a friend and got attached to. Can you blame me, though? It's short and sounds good.

LP Deprecation Cleanup | Ask me about SMPLive
x6 That's not the one.
Indeed. Well remembered.

I'd like to apologize for all this.Hm, it's so bizarre to me that the Dream SMP analysis page only ever picked up three writeups (with the third being my own) since being created 3 years ago given how much analysis I saw on other sites all the time.

LP Deprecation Cleanup | Ask me about SMPLiveI feel like Analysis/ isn't a popular namespace for casual TV Tropes users, at least nowadays, but I could be wrong.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
