Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Kinda wish the One Piece live action thread was named something like "One Piece live action" or "One Piece Netflix" instead of just "One Piece" because it's slightly annoying to have to look at the forum section in the Watchlist just to see if it's the manga or live action thread that's updated.

That sounds like an old TVT parody title.

Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.I'm a bit late with this response because I wasn't reading the thread when it was posted:
I'm assuming your post was mainly intended to be wordplay, but I can confirm that it's actually true. While getting burned out from doing what I'm pretty sure was most of the mod work on TRS between the end of 2021 and the beginning of this month (almost two years) wasn't the original reason I decided to take a break from mod work, it's something I ended up realizing had happened after I started taking a break, and the break did make a difference.
As for whether this post marks the beginning of increased non-mod activity for me after making few posts this month, possibly, but I'm still leaving the mod hat off for now even if that's the case.

I got a rock for Halloween.Image caption thread is the only one to update its header multiple times (and regularly) and kinda don't see the point.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt's to let people know that what page the active crowner is for. Most of these crowners are for closed threads so I do think it's useful in that regard.
Also, it's not regular because it doesn't get crowners that often. The other mega crowner threads get their dates changed more than the image caption thread get's title changes.

Macron's notesI watched The Unlucky Tug's latest video through Patreon and I really want to add some examples to his funny subpage, but I have to wait until tomorrow when the video goes public. The struggle is real.
I think you can add text examples from paywalled content, it's reposting the video that may be an issue.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Content that requires payment to see is as good as public as far as the wiki is concerned, it would just mean whoever wants to verify something would have to go extra.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI remember hearing talks that people weren't allowed to add RWBY examples from episodes that were in early access. Or is that a special case?
I confess that I was never sure whether that was an actual rule or a gentleman's agreement among the pages' editors (a factor being that I'm unfamiliar with the work). While I saw that cited before I was a mod, I never thought to look into it after I became one.
Edit: I asked the other mods if any of them knows. (I've still been participating in the mod chat, albeit probably to a lesser extent, despite the fact that I'm taking an indefinite break from mod work myself.)
Update: I didn't get much of a response since not too many other mods are online, but apparently the show's thread came up with it because of frequent problems with misuse in examples for early access episodes being harder for those without early access to clean up, though I'm still not sure if anyone's actually had mod action taken for going against the decision.

I got a rock for Halloween.I do know that it's part of the reason the Nightmare Fuel page is locked. People were so in a rush to add examples about everything, no matter how unfitting, and even just having to wait a week for the episode to air for free didn't stop the shoehorns from flooding in.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallCampus Special Investigator Hikaruon is the first time I've seen a cut page having video examples attached to it.
When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviorI just mentally misread Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard as "Complete Bastard" and "Magnificent Monster" and, y'know... it still works
I don't know why I'm surprised that we don't have a page on Jackson Pollock, his work is inherently difficult to trope.

AKA The Joffrey and The Dukat, naturally
EDIT: Huh, that's still apparently a redirect to Royal Brat.

I'm pretty sure it is supposed to be an asterisk, but the shape combined with the color reminds me more of the way squashed insects look in cartoons. I suppose that isn't entirely unfitting, since a lot of threads involve removing wicks, which could possibly be compared to squashing insects (though "zapped" being a slang term for text deletion could possibly bring to mind bug zappers instead of flyswatters).

I got a rock for Halloween.

I would hope not, since that isn't fetish-specific and it gets creepy when people speculate on whether a particular appeal is a fetish or not.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
