Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

There's an ARG called TOAST.
I mean, it's probably the best they could think of but it makes no sense if you don't know.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallMaybe when we have the opportunity to get new namespace icons we should run them through Image Picking to try to prevent that kind of Fan Myopia.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOI don't mind Fan Myopia for namespace images since it's not like with tropes where a bad image can lead to misrepresentation. It actually makes it funnier. Like sure, ARG is represented by toast. Fun.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I feel like the fact that the current admins take a hands-off approach to running the site means the mods are the big guys and the admins are men behind curtains, so with that in mind, I have no control over namespace icons, such as the fact that the Theatre/ namespace's icon is attached to Theater/ despite us using the former spelling.
I got a rock for Halloween.I'm surprised that the image on Incompatible Orientation was Image Pickin-approved; it's not good.
Currently playing Yooka-ReplayleeI mean, it's heavily implied; if you think it's too vague you could always make a thread for it.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI'm loving having an active coder on board. Things are finally getting done.
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI've been impressed by Kory's work so far. If I'm not mistaken, Septimus said the idea for green links for disambiguation pages dates back to the Eddie days, and Kory was able to get it implemented not long after getting hired.
I got a rock for Halloween. To be honest, it doesn't sound too difficult, adjusting display based on target pagetype. With the redirects, yes, I can only wish luck.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupForgot to say this, I thought expressing my appreciation on that ATT thread for Kory was enough, but I'll say it again. Kory's codework for adding new and long-wished-for features is greatly appreciated.
You know what's weird? We don't have drinking games for Lackadaisy, Boardwalk Empire and The Great Gatsby. They're set in the 1920s, where booze was banned and smuggled by gangsters. I wonder if it's very risky to drink with period-accurate moonshine?

It's interesting looking into the forks of TVT. It's pretty clear that these days, a lot of their "advantages" are gone now that TVT has improved much more. Only thing left is not having to worry about advertisers leaving them, which means standards are far less stricter when it comes to a certain side of things.

Checking in on this account after leaving the site, MAN that is a cringy forum post history. Daaamn. Never again.Of course they are. I think the only criticism from the cleanup thread is when the game is made intentionally unplayable ("take a shot every time a character uses the word 'the'").
I'd like to apologize for all this. Also there were concerns about alcohol for drinking games for shows aimed at children below 6. Like Sesame Street.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Of course... And TV Tropes is a website that's mostly PG-13 (obviously underage drinking is wrong, but it does not consist of the group who would be convincible enough to go for this for real). I actually kind of addressed it on the DrinkingGame. The Fairly Odd Parents page (which could probably be bigger).

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)There's also the fact that TVT does allow children on it, you can probably make a drinking game about how many users said they were 12 or less when they joined.

Pointing out single flaws is fine, but avoid commenting on the whole thing. DrinkingGame. The Clique has come up for being too complaining.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.

Oh whoops my bad. Forget me assuming those were alternate spellings of the same thing.
