Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Idiot Ball's Laywers just opened a briefcase
its empty
have a listen and have a link to my discord servertime for them to fuse into What an Idiot Ball and unleash their true power
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.(Edit: Wrong thread.)

So this is what TV Tropes thinks of fusion...

Buddy, there are a lot of JFF pages that might as well be forum games.
I've thought of making a Forum Games version of Role Association, but I'm not sure how funny it would be to everyone else.
Your melody still remains in this room and it ringsOrange you glad it does?
Wait, I already used that joke two days ago
, and it wasn't original then, either.
Has a mod ever gotten a notifier after they became a mod?
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI have never gotten a template notifier (even on my old account). I just get custom notifiers from people asking about my edits (usually TRS clean up related).
Macron's notesYes.
Edit: I remembered bringing it up and found it
after looking at my posts from last year. It came up as part of a larger notifier discussion.

I got a rock for Halloween.I've said before that I'm likelier to approve shorter videos faster. Another factor that I've recently realized is "if the trope is immediately obvious in the first 10 seconds". E.g. if you send a Battle in the Rain and in the first seconds I can see people fighting in the rain I'll hit the
without watching the whole thing.
I just really hate having to watch videos that look like I have to listen to a 150-second monologue to get the point.

As soon as I see the trope in the video, I approve it. Unless the video is funny or interesting in some way, I don't have the attention to watch most of them.
The long videos with like 5-8 secondary tropes are painful to watch.
Macron's notesErm... this video approval discussion sounds like it would be better suited to the Odd TV Tropes confessions thread since it has more to do with personal anecdotes than general discussion.

Live A Live is a Square Enix game... but Nintendo published the remake and that's what set off the discussion regarding it (rather than the original doing that), so I guess your point still stands.

I got a rock for Halloween.I don't see how video approval doesn't count as general discussion. We are still talking about the site. People share personal anecdotes about the site on this thread all of the time.

Macron's notes![]()
Fair enough. I've got a headache and that's probably getting to my head in more ways than one. Caffeine withdrawal might be also be a factor since I currently only have decaf and I'm waiting for the non-decaf shipment to arrive.
Edit: Upon further inspection, this post has even less to do with this thread, aside from being a reply to another post.

I got a rock for Halloween.Fun fact about the Idiot Ball thing. I actually already did a wick check but I think it was cut a long time ago. The goal was to see how What An Idiot was being used and if it and Idiot Ball were being used interchangeably. It's one of the reasons WAI was kicked to Darth iirc.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallWell it does use the Dark Side of the Force. ;)
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!

Legally, you're not allowed to make a claim like that without a wick check, or else the Idiot Ball state can sue you for defamation.
