Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Reminds me of when the recap page for Friendship is Magic's semifinale seemed to crop up in ATT every day for weeks.
The revived Trope Report project is the same age as the original one since I started the thread back in the summer of 2020 (2009-2012). I didn't expect the project to actually lift off let alone be as big as it is now. I also didn't know that the original trope report was only 12 pages long.
Macron's notesPaul Ekman has a model of six basic emotions, and we have Moments subpages celebrating when works are able to produce four of them: joy, sadness, fear, and surprise. Anger and disgust are missing, replaced with two other variants of joy. (Nausea Fuel would be disgust, but it hasn't ever been popular enough to need its own namespace.)

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOOh, I suppose so. That's still an interesting exception, though. It suggests that when a work makes people happy or disgusted or afraid, it's on behalf of the characters in-universe, but when it makes them angry they're angry at the writer.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOI don't think I've ever seen that as a subpage? That seems like it goes with Nausea Fuel, actually. People can identify moments that disgust them, but it isn't popular to praise them as good writing. "You should read this, it's incredibly gross" must not be as common a reaction as it theoretically could be.
(Granted, I suppose it also gets slipped into Nightmare Fuel regularly as well, so it might just be that fear and disgust tend to be used together.)

ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOI'm not saying Squick counts as a moment, but it does cover the emotional reaction.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI guess anger would be villain tropers like Complete Monster or Hate Sink. When something in a story is supposed to make you angry, it's usually the villain.
Tbh I never really hated his minigames in the original, but they did make them better in the remake. What about the two lesser-remembered emotions, trust and anticipation? The latter, I guess Wild Mass Guessing, but the former?

Lesser-remembered because they're from a different model of emotions. :P
WMG as anticipation is brilliant. Maybe Heartwarming could be considered trust, instead of or in addition to another form of joy?
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOTrust is YMMV, though there people are more likely to whine about broken trust for the work to fit their exact standards
I know it's in the Darth Wiki now but I think of DarthWiki. What An Idiot when it comes to anger.
Macron's notesAs far as when a work makes me angry without pulling me out of the story, Hate Sink and Love to Hate are probably the closest. (The other thing I think of - anger and disgust are both used to inspire action against something, like a Rousing Speech, so it probably has some overlap with Awesome Moments or Anvillicious?) The idea that it's actually Complete Monster or Magnificent Bastard is pretty compelling - it makes sense that the reason there isn't a Moments page equivalent for it is because it would be used for complaining and be removed.
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOMemes.Fire Emblem Three Houses will remain my favorite TVT-made image.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo, a couple of the mod-specific tools of the site have misspellings:
- If you cut a page on the Cut List, it says "Cut succesful" instead of "successful".
- The custom title queue
says "punctution" instead of "punctuation".
Speaking of the Cut List, why is the link orange? Is it special or something?
Inconsistently active. All old "tech pages" are orange, like Ask The Tropers, Contributor Announcements, You Know That Thing Where, Wiki Tech Wish List, Tropes Needing Examples, and any wick with Discussion (Wiki Talk Discussion)

You can also add extra letters and the links are still orange. Like so:
Pot holes turn orange as well:
Even the namespace turns the link orange:
That does make me wonder if we're ever gonna get a page whose links accidentally turn orange. Maybe if we get a work or recap whose name ends in "Discussion".
There's also General Suggestions, which leads nowhere. I wonder what other forgotten links are orange. Maybe we could have an All Orange Entry like All-Blue Entry and All-Red Entry.
