Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

The distinction between the two isn't the part that I find odd, since that's easy to grasp. The odd part is the fact that we divide YMMV pages into two categories at all when we don't do that for anything else that isn't in Main, even though examples still go on the same subpages.

I got a rock for Halloween.Well, we probably don't really want to make AudienceReactions/ namespace, I dunno.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIf it were up to me there'd be no such thing as a "YMMV trope" and the YMMV page would be just for reactions, but

I feel like Septimus has actually said something along those lines, but I don't remember where. I think at least one of the longtime mods said that.
To think this whole thing happened just cuz I wanted to complain... this place truly is fascinating. Honestly, I'd watch a mockumentery or however its spelled of TV Tropes being portrayed as a real ecosystem thats being studied.
Best advice I ever got? Keep repeating the joke till everyone is forced to laugh.I think there's a Forum Game for that, or at least an Avatar based one.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallSince this is Yack Fest and not OTC, discussion isn't supposed to be predictable (well, except maybe the Absent People thread due to the "on-topic" part of the title, but even then people's reasons for being absent aren't always predictable). Being fascinating is just an added bonus.

I got a rock for Halloween.Creator.Dingo Pictures now has 667 updates instead of 666, and that makes me sad.
Your melody still remains in this room and it ringsThat just means there's been 666 updates since the page was first made.

Or it meant nobody thought to move it to Archive.Dingo Pictures and lock it so it could stay at 666 edits forever.
This is just from looking but Troper Covens feels like they're private community topics ,not enough to be considered insular but it feels like I really have no business posting in there even by accident
They're a bit like the gated communities but on tv tropes.

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverthe moon base on the moon
it's also a secret volcano lair
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.Moon base, yes, but not on earth's moon. It's on Europa, because there's no water on earth's moon and thus no islands.
Also, I think we might have accidentally turned this thread into a second random thoughts thread, so we might want to find something else to discuss (whatever that would be). At least it's not avatars being discussed this time (though the Slander thread is a different story)....

I got a rock for Halloween. With the whole Roiland situation, I saw a joke on Twitter about people running to put in Role-Ending Misdemeanour to Rick and Morty and it was hilarious.

Both go on YMMV but technically means different things. One is "this may or may not be in the work" and the other is "fans react this way". It's weird to put them both on YMMV but I get why the indices are split.
