Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

The kind of English you're supposed to use is whichever one you want to use, which generally means the one you prefer to use in general, whether online or offline, which generally means a person's native dialect in the case of native English speakers. What that person did when they changed "yoghurt" to "yogurt" is against the rules. Per American and Commonwealth Spellings, people are completely allowed to write in the variety of English they're used to and after that we have a "first come, first served" rule saying not to change those spellings arbitrarily.
In the case of the Aluminum Christmas Trees/Aluminium Christmas Trees wicks I was moving, I kept the spelling the same per the "first come, first served" policy (the only change was moving them to the works' YMMV pages due to TRS making it YMMV); when I get around to moving the American English name's wicks, I'll leave those in American English the same way I kept the spelling of the links to the British English redirect the same.
Edit: Also, in the post you responded to, I noticed I made a typo and accidentally typed "being" when I meant to put "begin". That's been fixed.

I got a rock for Halloween. If I ever become an Engineer one of the first things I'll moderate would be clearing Query Bugs from duplicate questions and editing requests that have are not bug reports.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup![]()
Is it bad that I use American spelling but British grammar rules?
If I ever became an Engineer (highly unlikely as I don't even trust my own judgement), I would probably do whatever crowner and TRS stuff GastonRabbit and MacronNotes haven't already done.
Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallMonsterClown.Web Original image being a budget version of JustForFun.Bobble The Clown is hilarious.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI know you're joking based on the pothole, but that's actually not a problem. We don't care how people write in English as long as the spelling and grammar are correct in at least one variety of English. It's only a problem if the spelling and grammar are incorrect in all varieties of English.

The image on MonsterClown.Web Original has been the image on SCP-993 for a while now.
The one on the JFF page should probably be updated to match it… do I need to make an IP thread for this, or can I just do it?
Er, that would be image duplication, which is against the rules. (Page and character page duplication is fine, tho)
The JFF page's image is fine.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallWell, there’s a quandary. The JFF page should have the updated image, because it’s mimicking the style of a work page and those are supposed to have the most up-to-date images possible, but then the Web Original page would need a new image.
Edit: I’ve read the JFF and a more innocent-looking Bobble works better for the joke that the page is insisting he isn’t evil. Disregard.

That reminds me, Characters. All Tomorrows shares a lot of images with trope pages, and I've been meaning to bring it up on Image Pickin' for a while...
...by precedent, the Dwarf Fortress page image will probably be replaced with the Steam release cover or something. But I strongly prefer the current one, so I'm not about to start an IP thread for it.

x3 Since Covers Always Lie, I usually tend to look for an image that represents the work well. Happened with the thread I made the other day for The Maltese Falcon (1941), since most covers and posters for it don't show the fucking falcon.

HTF do you advertise a movie named after its MacGuffin and not show the actual MacGuffin? That's like posters of Protagonist Title movies not showing the protagonist.
I suppose there's a logic that it's a Macguffin, which by definition doesn't matter outside of being something everyone wants enough to drive the plot. But still, it's in the title...
ERROR: The current state of the world is unacceptable. Save anyway? YES/NOVideo Games of the 2020s has 1250+, so it'll probably reach a similar amount (unless it gets split).
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)

I mean, it is a book written by a white supremacist, for white supremacists, and it isn't even written well from a storytelling perspective. I don't know if the character can be listed as a Complete Monster due to pretty obvious Protagonist-Centered Morality, which is entirely deliberate on the author's part, since the novel is simply an Author Tract on ideas that are almost universally agreed upon to be awful and misguided. I can, however, say that the protagonist is indeed presented as an awful human being in addition to his worldview, but that, again, is largely due to the fact that the novel itself isn't even written well.

You keep using the term "POV". I do not think it means what you think it means.
