Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Yep! It was a long, long time ago, but it used to be that thumps were applied by editing the word "thump" in [square brackets] into a post, and of course it was possible for users to just re-edit their post and delete it.
Obviously this was a bad idea and would just get them in more trouble, but the fact that it was possible meant the site had to deal with people doing it, so modern-day thumps don't work that way.
We should note that this system was replaced long before we started using the forums in earnest, so we never experienced any of that personally; this is all nth-hand knowledge.

Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.The old thump markup still exists and its text is utterly ridiculous.

I got a rock for Halloween.Found on Junk Rare in reference to the Pokémon TCG, and rarely have examples been so open about their datedness.
Well, at least in the current era, it’s still kind of close to true, as one viable deck archetype is founded on rares in a meta built around triple-rares. Though some double rares do tend to get sprinkled in there, and this card game has its far share of rarer alternate art cards that people use.
My musician pageDoes anyone else remember Joss Whedon being in Fallen Creator or was it just some sort of Mandela Effect? The first mention of him I could find in the edit history was in 2011.
Guys how cool would it be if Super Megaforce had a green ranger...It wasn't added because either no one suggested the entry on the locked pages thread or the entry was suggested but the request was rejected because the writeup wasn't sufficient.
Macron's notesHe was there, and I think he's been removed and put back in an amended form more than once. Fallen Creator is a thorny article, more than one troper has suggested cutting it, and a cleanup thread is still at the Sandbox stage.
Also, I found another case of an image linking to a trope instead of a work: Faster Than They Look.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I was reading down the history of Low-Tier Letdown's Pokemon section, and noticed how passive-agressive (at best) the entries used to be to the examples.
While I'm pretty sure I'm the one who gave the go-ahead to split Tier Induced Scrappy between High-Tier Scrappy and Low-Tier Letdown after people voted in favor of it, I haven't been personally involved in the cleanup effort, so I'm not sure if anyone who's been working on the examples has been toning down complaining, as opposed to just moving them as-is between high-tier and low-tier.
The text on non-existent pages still refers to YKTTW, not TLP.
Yeah, the old name is still on a lot of pages, such as how the link to tropes' drafts on discussion pages says "YKTTW archive" instead of "TLP archive", and how the internal name for a TLP suspension still uses the YKTTW name.
Those require admin fixes and since they relatively minor issues they are being overlooked for the time being.

The discussion page on newly-launched tropes also refers users to the "YKTTW discussion".
EDIT: Oh, interesting, it's also an automatic link. Any others beside Kubis?

Think that's bad? SoBadItsGood.Comic Books opens with a subbullet claiming that there are only 25 episodes of Atop the Fourth Wall.
I'm gonna assume that's in response to my post, as it makes sense as a response to it, but that's too mamy arrows.
Wynncraft still uses the color font, interesting.
Bovine Fiction is that example of Works by Subject that makes me question how it was made in the first place.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
I'm surprised that it's lasted this long. It feels like it's rather outlasted the creator's YouTube careers at this point. I don't think that Salted has uploaded in several years now.
Just alphabetised a bunch of pages, and some of those entries really make you not like having an ordered alphabet.
Also while working on this page
, I have also discovered a new dislike of method acting.
At some point, it must get a bit silly, to do the real thing when very few have a conception of what it would be like. It just needs to be realistic, not perfectly life-accurate. At this rate, they may as well start murdering people for the film.

I do remember some thread talking about that issue. Can’t remember if it went anywhere…
Also, flashbacks of shame to the time I made Equine Fiction.

I was referring to this post of theirs
which was a response to me linking to a IRL crime in my post. I removed the link and apologized
