Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

I usually avoid TRS thread that are complicated (mostly YMMV tropes). I usually do straight forward cleanups.
I don't have a current TRS project because work too much of my physical energy and I rather not spend my days off wick cleaning. I think I'll get back into it...eventually.
Macron's notesI wonder if Unintentional Period Piece would have turned out better if it had been done today, by a smarter and more experienced version of me. I had no idea what to even do when I brought it in back in May 2021.

Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallPeking Duck Christmas was featured twice in Trope Report's Christmas issues (Image of the Month in 2021, Obscure tropes in 2022).
SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMYIf I haven't been clear enough on saying which examples to keep in the to-do lists, then maybe I could clarify them at some point. I'm worn out right now because of sleep problems, so I probably won't do it now, but I could probably go through those threads to be more specific about the definitions are being used for which wicks to keep.
Or were you referring to roughly what Macron was referring to, in that even with the to-do list giving the definition, it's still harder to gauge what counts? I do see how that would apply to YMMV items since those are subjective, but I wasn't sure since you were referring to Trivia (which is objective and not subjective, and just isn't a trope).
Either way, to-do lists are a pretty recent thing we've been doing (I think starting around the first few months of this year) since I think I was the first mod to actually do it despite suggesting it before I was a mod, so perhaps some refinements are needed.
Edit: OK, so it looks like I was actually pretty clear with Doing It for the Art's thread's to-do list. But anyway, I'm not fond of tackling large projects because as I've mentioned in the past, back problems keep me from doing too much, so I tend to find wick counts over the mid-three-digit range intimidating and defer to others on those when it comes to dewicking.

I got a rock for Halloween.Re: Peking Duck Christmas: That's nice. Since those are different sections, I think it's acceptable.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)The to-do posts have been really helpful, the only issue I have is not all threads having them.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
If that happens, it's due to either an oversight, or because I didn't add one immediately after calling a thread because I took a break after calling the thread (since I handle making changes that don't involve wick cleanup first and get to the to-do list after that), but forgot to come back to it after taking a break.
Alternatively, there could be some old threads (such as ones from before I was a mod) that I never got around to. The only time I don't see the need to add a to-do list at all is for Not Thriving threads, since those can be cleared out in a matter of seconds.

I got a rock for Halloween.Menace is remembering wrong though. Peking Duck Christmas wasn't Image of the Month on Christmas 2021, it was Image of the Month on March 2022. Two references on the same year.

Huh, it wasn't? It would've been fitting if the image change happened on November 2021, but it's still a funny coincidence.

SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMYI made some TRS to-do lists for threads that didn't have them, and clarified a small amount that said to move correct usage without saying what correct usage is. Some of these omissions were from when I was less active on the site (such as when I was having problems with insomnia in September or when I was sick for a week last month; it looks like the former was the case with An Axe To Grind and the latter was the case with Dan Browned), but since I've been doing better, I was able to tackle this.
If there are still any threads that don't have to-do lists, I suppose they can be hollered, though a different mod would be the one to make the list since I don't usually read hollers.

I got a rock for Halloween.Apparently Ghost Autoindexing can also happen. I swear this wiki is haunted.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
I legitimately didn't know that auto-indexing can have ghost wick problems until now (or if I did know, I forgot). I've seen ghost indexing for manual indexing for the old names of renamed pages, though with ghost indexing for manual indexes, ghost wicks aren't involved; instead, the indexing continues to be listed at the bottom of pages that are/were on the index despite the removal of the index.
Opening the page type editor and hitting "Submit" without actually changing the page type fixes ghost indexing for manual indexing; I'd imagine for auto-indexing, fixing it is the same as with any other ghost wick. I don't remember how I figured out how to fix ghost indexing for manual indexes, though (mainly why I thought to try doing a null submission for the page type without knowing it would actually work).
And speaking of auto-indexing, for some reason miscapitalizations of the YMMV/ namespace feature auto-indexing even though YMMV subpages aren't supposed to have any kind of indexing, which I discovered when a subpage that had its namespace capitalized as Ymmv/ was doing auto-indexing (though I think someone else might have pointed out; that's simply how I learned about it).

I got a rock for Halloween.Since it's not in Main/ I've already made and Cut Listed it to see what happens.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI cut it, and as a side note, the page name (but not the namespace) was orange instead of blue in the list of requests. I knew wicks ending with "Discussion" appeared orange on the wiki and forums (plus some other pages are like this, such as Ask The Tropers and Cut List), but this is the first time I've seen any kind of orange link on the Cut List.

I got a rock for Halloween.Yep, that have fixed it.
On yet another cursed stuff on the topic, haunted search results.
You could say that these glitches are... quite the Mind Screw.
I wonder how that multi-%20 page happened. Curly braces don't seem to do it, like: {{Main /Mind Screw}}
I guess it was from before the Special Characters ban, so hopefully it's impossible now.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Maybe it's just coincidence but I'm seeing a lot of video examples from Central Park and The Great North
I see huge batches of videos from those shows on the newest videos every now and then. I’m willing to bet they’re almost all from the same troper, or the same few (as in no more than 3) tropers every time.
It's from the same troper. A lot of people make a lot of videos for shows they like as they watch them.
Macron's notesIronically I had difficulty finding actual videos of Central Park on Youtube, probably due to copyright. Which makes me more appreciative of all those videos uploaded here.
I've read Permanent Red Link Club and noticed that I Am Not Making This Up used to be on 2,500 pages at its peak. Sounds terrifying years ago... Nowadays, while that's still a lot, it would likely be less noticeable. Probably wouldn't feel like a catchphrase.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)

Sometimes, but those are the threads I avoid. Once the discussion starts to lose me, I stop engaging with it.
