Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Yeah, when I looked at the link I saw that one. It's so poorly made that I just tossed it on the cutlist.
I don't get why they made it as that anyway, since unlike NamespaceGoesHere.Title Goes Here, TitleGoesHere.Title Goes Here doesn't even make any sense.
Now to check if NamespaceGoesHere.Namespace Goes Here is blue... Okay, it's not, thankfully.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallActually no, funnily enough, PRLC pages are glitched. You can access the edit page, but it doesn't save edits so it doesn't really make a difference lol (Fighteer let me test it when the glitch was first discovered)
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallYeah, you just get the locked page message. PRLC pages are just cut and locked pages.
^ Well, IIRC it's certain PRLC pages not all of them because I remember testing that when it was discovered. The ones that aren't in Main/ I believe.

Right, that's it. I know that NamespaceGoesHere.Title Goes Here does go to the edit screen, which is the only reason I even remember this glitch exists.

Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThis is what I got:
Weirdly it let me edit before.

Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallYeah, now it's giving the lock screen. It's just that the first time I tried it, it gave me the editing screen. Dunno if the mods covertly glitch-fixed in the background or something, but...
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallObservation: Shortly after Schaffrillas Productions made a video about Free Birds, the pages for the work got the "That's right, repeat sentence" Running Gag from the review added without any potholes to the origin or any explanation whatsoever on the Memetic Mutation bullet in the YMMV page for the film. This kinda looks like Fan Myopia to me, since not everyone watches Schaffrilla's videos and thus would be confused about that recurring sentence.

SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMY
It was baffling to see that meme pop up so quickly on the Free Birds page. I guess Colbert Bump hits hard.
Well, I think it was brought up before that certain obscure works got pages because a popular review channel made a video on them.

That's an old site tradition going back to The Nostalgia Critic: Anytime he'd review a movie there'd be new examples added clearly reflecting (though not plagiarizing word-for-word) Doug's opinion on the movie. There was even an entry about this (on a page I can't remember) using Flubber as an example.
As we see with Schafrillas, this is still going on even with other reviewers/essayists.

I both love and hate the pic on Slow-Loading Internet Image being self-demonstrating.
The fact we have a whole page dedicated to works that have too much complaining, but not for too much gushing.note It kind of showed me how much of a problem the former was (and still is on occasion), and how negative leaning this site tended to be (at least back in the day).
I hope I'm not stepping over the limitation on discussing the Edit Banned thread, but I didn't know this rule before:
It hadn't occurred to me that someone might do this, and now I have the fleeting temptation to give "A-Sitting On A Gate" its own work page under the title "The Aged Aged Man
".
This reminds me of when I've seen examples clearly inspired by a specific review. For example, the first Dies Differently in Adaptation example for Rebecca is paraphrased from Lost in Adaptation.
On the whole Ready Jet Go! thing, I’m surprised that its major contributor has left, especially considering their other work. I’ll miss them.
I know, outside of the RJG thing and some rudeness issues they weren't that bad a contributor. They were the one who also initially informed us about that Super Group 2013 person and their multiple sockpuppet accounts.
If nothing else, the list of shady Nightmare Fuel/Complete Monster/Getting Crap Past the Radar/et cetera "examples" for kid's shows is so long (or at least was, I think there's been some real progress at pruning it down) that it feels kind of unfair to single out the one where the person responsible specifically admitted it and apologized.

To continue the discussion from here
, I see NamespaceGoesHere.Title Goes Here was PRLC but TitleGoesHere.Title Goes Here was not to obvious results.
