Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

So we have Adult Link, Young Link, and Toon Link. Who are the other two Links?
One thing I've noticed, though I don't remember if I said before, is that when I post something, the forum I posted in acts as "unread"... sometimes. Which gets kind of annoying. Though the worst one I've seen is where sometimes it acts like the forum isn't even read after another user posts and I read said post. It also gets stuck at the top of the section of the forum(I.E. Media forums), making it quite a pain to deal with... if you're a little picky about having stuff properly marked unread. Admittedly it's more of an OCD thing for me, but it is still kind of bothersome when it doesn't work as intended. Mostly cause I won't know if a new post comes to that forum properly.
Shadow?Ah, you are talking about me haha.
Well former mod Bobby G has 6 administrivia links in their signature. I am not sure what the character limit for signatures are.
That's a known bug. It's been brought to the admins attention more than once I think.

Macron's notesThe character limit is 140 (what's this, Twitter?), it says so on profile page.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI think it's only for some accounts. Unless that's been changed.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Twitter has upgraded to 280 limit years ago, but the joke was that they used to have half of that (because it matches SMS block length) for the longest time.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhich in turn inspired one of my favorite jokes. :)
Q: Why doesn’t George R. R. Martin use Twitter?
A: Because he killed all 140 characters.
Reviews also have a character limit, but the actual review editor doesn't enforce it at all unless you try and edit it after the fact. That's why some reviews are super long.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallCouldn't agree more. In a mountain of random trivia, you're bound to run into something you just have to verify.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Ah, I thought it was an actual thing on Yack Fest, but it's a Forum Game. ...Makes sense. But yeah, I'm not even sure what you guys mean. Unless there's a post that's, say, outright inappropriate or clearly violating some rule, why would they be problematic??
Anyway, man, seeing so many random ZCE(I don't really prefer to edit anymore) that I have no way of improving can sometimes be, a bit... cathartic. Incidentally, it's always funny to see pages on other attempts to mirror this wiki(not that it's a good thing), but I don't mind seeing it for cut works at least.
Shadow? There's an actual topic called "Did you know?"
in Forum Games, though maybe they meant the Yack Fest topic, but this one matches the exact wording they used.
Either way, there's bound to be some questionable posts in these kind of things. But it's not hard to holler if they come up anyway.
Shadow? If it's a forum game, I'd expect the facts to be fake, lol.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallQuestionably Questionable Facts
is the forum game with all the fake facts.
I suppose it's hard for me to understand how "posting facts" is a game, but there are a lot of questionable forum "games", so meh.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallI found an index with a whopping two tropes on it (previously three before Mad-Lib Fantasy Title was turned into a redirect to Title Tropes): Genre Title Grab Bag. I intend to take it to TRS for being pointless (the plan is to redirect it to Title Tropes).

I got a rock for Halloween. There's no need to turn this into "lol forum games bad". The OP clearly states that you're supposed to post true things and people have been posting lots of interesting trivia (a lot of which I know to be true since I was aware of them), it's just that some posts seem very questionable.
Tbh I never really hated his minigames in the original, but they did make them better in the remake.I didn't say "lol forum games bad", I said that I don't consider that premise a game premise. And there are other forum games that also don't seem to be actual games. Cuddlepile was mentioned at one point — that's a perfect example.
Most forum games are perfectly fine, but I do think the definition gets stretched sometimes.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallHaving a minor urge to coin "misuse snowball" because I'm getting really tired of "But if this is wrong, why wasn't that thing nobody've noticed deleted?" arguments.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup"Fake facts" seems like a decent forum topic, akin to maybe a roleplaying thread. It's basically another one of Jacksfilms' series in thread form.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
