Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Not sure, but maybe films were considered live-action only?
It's like how there's no distinguishing between anime-film, and anime-show on the site. Studio Ghibli films end up in the anime section, right next to one punch man.
In fairness, so too is the subject matter.

We need the Animated Film namespace because if I see another TLP where they place Shrek or Wreck-It Ralph in the Western Animation folder I'll snap.
Animation can use tropes in different ways than live-action, and film differently than television, so I don't mind the split.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Controversial take: it makes sense to file animated movies under Western Animation rather than Film.
I mean, the name "film" implies filming. That's how puppet shows count as film. Work namespaces are all about format, are they not?
JustForFun.How To Be An Anti Heroi seem to frequently give you the impression that im posting emotionally and i apologize for whatever it is about my posting style that does that. i promise, nothing i say is meant to be taken in a tone harsher than inquisitive debate. i don't get angry about stuff like this and in any case if i felt like i couldn't remain civil i would exit the conversation. i have done so in the past.
please don't feel like im ever assuming an adversarial position. i am not and i will not. you have my word.
Admittedly the namespace debates have been taking over the whole wiki lately, and they keep bleeding into this thread in part because people who have opinions but don't venture to Wiki Talk might not know how often these concepts have been covered... and other people who have opinions and have talked about these before come prepared with all the justification they've built up
Then it feels more heated then it actually is because some people just have more to say on the subject... Yeah it's just one of those things where nobody's actually upset but everything has been reiterated before so it can seem like people are getting frustrated or ranty.
Like always, anonymous voters who don't read and believe in Status Quo Is God.
And it's not like there weren't good arguments against it, mainly it would require tons of moving.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupOne of these days I gotta sit and observe the Wiki Talk threads for a good while, I have some questions regarding which folder(s) works in the Animation/ namespace would go while crosswicking note and I should familiarise myself with the process before possibly making that a thread.
I have yet to decide whether I'm for or against making AnimatedFilm/ a thing or not, I am reading the points that are brought up though.
When you're alone I'm reaching out to let you know that you're far from strangers, like the saviorHow do you even read the correction posts in the Help With English thread, especially this one
? Like the way they're formatted makes my brain swirl.

Because the AnimatedFilm/
discussion failed, and probably not the first one.
