Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

I first found out about that particular Cthulhu Mythos member thanks to the first Quake, so I didn't even know it was supposed to be a slur until several years later. ^_^;;
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!I don't think reading a quoted slur and inadvertently pronouncing it in your head, especially with discomfort towards the slur, casts a negative moral judgment on you anyway.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
x5 Like Nigeria but without the -ia.
Edit:
'd do many times.
Edit 2: Never mind, guess I was wrong.

Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldI remember when I was a kid, at first I thought it rhymed with "tiger." ^_^;;
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!Now I'm wondering what a "Tv Tropes Sports Team" would be like... and what sport it'd play.
Nah, I'm kidding with that second part. We'd definitely play Calvin Ball.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallJust one last thing: I didn't notice the whole Shub-Niggurath thing until you pointed it out.
Read Pokemon Ultimate Emerald@War Jay: All right.
My observation is this forum is a very great place. :)

Well, they're forums on the "right side" of the forum list, which, y'know, is where Yack Fest is. Meanwhile, "Left Side" are the wiki-based threads like TRS.
I mean, these forums are definitely more chill and fun than other forums on the internet... usually

Thanks, though I was talking more about any query in general, not just about niche or specific subjects. I've had some queries that never really received much responses and others that got to dozens of comments, so sometimes it really depends I guess. With TLP you can always make a null edit as long as you don't do it too much, but for threads it must be uncomfortable for someone to post bump even three times if they're afraid of a query getting forgotten.
Lol, if you switch to desktop mode it'll be way more obvious.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallSpeaking of Yack Fest being like a chatroom, tfw you wake up and there are 4 full pages of posts to read.

I took care of it. (I generally don't read the holler thread, so I probably wouldn't have seen it if it hadn't been brought up here.)
Edit: Took care of another spam post, and bounced the account for good measure.

I got a rock for Halloween.So going back to a previous topic about Forum Game threads that require some knowledge or experience of specific works to play, a thread about naming bad WMG for the above poster's work
recently surfaced and I'm like "Yeah... Don't think I'll be participating in that since I barely know any of the works the users post here". Now I understand why people have an issue with them.
I've noticed that the only "Accept No Substitute" captions left are subversions/twists/parodies of the line.

I'm already aware on how racist Lovecraft is and that it was probably intended to be pronounced by saying the slur. As I'm not black nor trying to be racist, I much rather pronounce it differently. Reasonable Death of the Author here.
