Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Be thankful the trope isn't (re)named "Dark Souls Hard".
But yeah, the name Nintendo Hard is heavily inaccurate nowadays now that Nintendo shifted away from their arcade and NES difficulty standards, but truth be told, I think the name still holds up because it's going to be difficult finding something that can even top that while still remain relevant. Just don't go for the "Dark Souls" option mentioned above.
Maybe Elden Ring will stay relevant. People are meming on it hard enough.
Read Pokemon Ultimate EmeraldSpeaking of RL Troping, ever find it weird that writers and youtubers have Trope Pantheon entries?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupEh, not personally, it's all just one big silly crossover and I don't think it's any different from parodying an actor on TV.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper Wallit's kinda like shipping real life people. i find it distasteful, but as long as it doesn't cross into Fan Dumb, it's not actually doing any harm.
I was already aware that Nintendo Hard referred to the NES and not Nintendo consoles/games in general, though that could be because I'm a '90s kid who played the NES and SNES quite a bit growing up.
And either way, I don't think it needs to be renamed.

I got a rock for Halloween.I mean, if they were actually being treated disrespectfully that's one thing, but saying that Gary Gygax is the god of Tabletop Games isn't creepy or disrespectful at all, it's just fans giving creators they like places of honor.

i just personally find it in poor taste to treat real people with desires and feelings and opinions as if they were fictional characters in any capacity. just my opinion, i wouldn't try to stop people from doing it unless aforementioned Fan Dumb occurs.
I get it. Personally like I said, I see it more akin to an actor being parodied on, say, SNL or South Park where it's like... clearly not the actual person anymore and just a fictionalized exaggeration of them. But that's my take.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallTo be fair, some of the YouTubers are already playing characters.

Read Pokemon Ultimate Emeraldi know the odds of this are pretty gosh darn slim, but i wonder: those of us who work on improving and maintaining the wiki often lament that communications are split between so many different areas. if ATT was converted into a forum (really, i can't think of a good reason why it's not one), would some of these problems be solved?
If anything I think it would just make it harder since only a fraction of people use the forums and only a fraction of those people use the workshop forums... which ATT would def be part of.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallYeah, ATT I think ATT is fine where it is. Not everyone is interested in the forums and it's a convenient way to get reports from all sectors of the site. Also, we do private queries in ATT for security stuff and certain situations.
Macron's notesIs it just me or is the big header not that different from the medium header?
For example, this is the biggest one, with !.
This is the medium header, with two !!.
And this is the smallest one, with three !!!.
It just seems there's a big jump between the second and the third.

Okay, all three looked different on my computer, but now I’m on my phone and indeed the first and second ones look the same.
I'm looking on a tablet at the moment, and they all seem reasonably different.
Your melody still remains in this room and it ringsI'm on a laptop and I got the same result.

I got a rock for Halloween.I agree that the lack of bold text on the smallest is noticeable.
My screen is a little over 17" with 1920x1080 resolution, if that matters.

I got a rock for Halloween.

That might be more descriptive nowadays, but as a preexisting phrase with 100k inbounds, it's very unlikely to be changed.
(Good alt title, though)
