I feel like "...something" is becoming a bit of a catchphrase around here, I keep seeing it in articles from time to time

Honestly, all the complaining about Egregious is a little overblown. It doesn't seem like it's popping up all that much nowadays, it doesn't sound too strange, nor is it a You Keep Using That Word thing, and a word that you can closely associate with a site can make it much more memorable (other than "trope", of course).

Yeah, in general. The page for it seems a bit too negative. Though people probably wouldn't have cared much in the first place if a page didn't exist.

I was going to say it looked like The Ex's New Jerkass was only up on the front page for five minutes before it got replaced by Cyber Green, but it looks like it got banished to the Shadow Realm returned to TLP instead. I'm always surprised how quickly rogue launches get taken down, since they never seem to stay up for more than a few minutes.

It's just because the mods happen to be online when rogue launches are reported, sometimes it takes a while.

Speaking of Cyber Green, I'm really surprised that we didn't have that trope until today.

Word Cruft is like, the bottom tier of mistakes you can make in this wiki, so it's wild how that page seemed so particularly spiteful. Like, some of it's annoying, but are rhetorical questions really so problematic as to warrant all that hate?

Oh, absolutely. There's no avoiding it, especially once you include any remakes that may happen in the future.

Depends on the title. Can't imagine that many works will want to title themselves Film.Pig :-)

Whenever someone else brings up this wiki outside of here (of course not in a way that's shitting on it, I mean bringing up stuff like trope names and something on a subpage I guess), do any of you feel some sort of telepathic reaction? Kinda like how two bus drivers have some sort of psychic link whenever they happen to drive past one another.

I wish I had psychic powers, or knew bus drivers with psychic powers.

I'm not sure if this is just me not understanding when people are joking about stuff, but the "telepathic connections" stuff is meant to be a figure of speech. I'm not being literal.

Sorry, it's the first time I've heard it, so I didn't know what were you trying to say.

I'm also a bit confused by what you meant, but I do tend to mentally go "Oh, that was unexpected." There are certain tropes that have already ingrained themselves into the wider nerd lexicon, like Flanderization, but others make me do a double-take whenever I hear them outside of here.

I wouldn't describe it as "telepathic" but it pleases me to see the site get mentioned in places I didn't expect.

Was the Flanderization name created by TV Tropes or was the title named after what was an already existing expression?

When I think of the name Rapunzel Hair, I think comically and unrealistically long hair. I do wonder why people just used it for long hair in general.
