One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Too bad it apparently can't be restored.
I found the strikethrough on the wiki fun, but I can't think of where it would actually be useful anyway. The only fun jokes also would mean they likely were a poor example to begin with(as I can say, as I did a poor job in updating the Quest 64 page. Hoo boy).
Shadow?I'll never not lose my mind as I once again launch a work page for some most obscure thing ever, and just an hour later there are people showing to know its content as well.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI won't deny that I was both amused and annoyed that it fell to me, who is only an average Kirby fan, to create the It's Kirby Time page, when I know there are some megafans on the wiki.
My musician pageSome of the pages which didn't exist before I created them can be surprising at times. For instance, I created the page for Mr. Bean, a show which not only is a Long Runner, but is based off a popular show. Heck, it even had an Image Source (Criminal Doppelgänger) for a long time yet no-one created it before me.
Yeahh, it's amusing when I have to go like "I know There Is No Such Thing as Notability but come on" at a redlink and then just make it myself.
Toonhole and Bonnie Tyler were two with a high wick count that I plugged on the Works that Need a Page section of Trope Report. Both have pages now.
The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter didn't have a page for the longest time despite being a famous folktale that's referenced often in Japanese media.
SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMYMost Tropers Are Young Nerds is a page we have that explains ^. :-)
Sometimes I come across YMMV entries that throw me off and make me go "wait, I don't remember this being a major theory or viewpoint in the fandom." Like this GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff.Pokemon entry:
Sure, I'd become a more casual viewer by this point due to skipping out on the DS era of games, but I remember specifically that "badass Team Rocket" started off as a Broken Base issue at best, and by the time Black and White ended, people in the Western community were very vocal about wanting to return to basics. YMMV entries like this really make me second guess my memories.
I was one of the fans who was overjoyed to see Team Rocket become actually competent and menacing, and I consider it the one good thing the Gen 5 anime did. But I didn't really watch the Gen 5 anime much in the first place, and I could just be a minority.
Still, it really depends on what part of the fanbase you talk to. The Gen 5 games have always been my favorite, and there's been a growing number of people who look back on them fondly, especially in comparison to 6, 7, and 8. That doesn't apply to the anime though, and I still hear a lot of people trash it.
What's my point? IDRK, except that I guess I'm the sort of fan that entry is talking about. Badass Team Rocket is Best Team Rocket.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallTeam Rocket being real villains for once for me was one of the best parts of the anime.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI was a huge Team Rocket fan as a kid for their comedy and sympathetic backstories, so I actually outright resented and avoided watching BW for playing Team Rocket as straight villains (even though the series was airing while I was really into reruns of the anime).
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I tend to find genuine villains a lot more entertaining than comic relief ones, so that's probably why I started to get tired of Team Rocket's antics. It just started to get kind of sad after a while.
I wasn't really in the fandom when the anime came out, I was still in middle school IIRC, so I can't say how true or false the entry is. YMMV for Pokemon is hard in general because the fanbase has become more and more divided over the years. You'll never be able to pin down the one true opinion.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallTo be honest, the cast in the Galar season is still great written, I just appreciate variety.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt was cool seeing Team Rocket being badass, but at the same time, I missed the comic relief Team Rocket. If they were kept their comedic personalities while still being badass and moving arcs along, that would have been best.
Dr. Zager feels like a character that would play off well against the TRio comedic moments, having the wit and snark to keep up with them while still being able to respect their abilities.
I'm filling up examples on Time Bokan and Yatterman recently, since I'm currently watching both Time Patrol Tai Otasukeman and the 2008 remake of Yatterman. I'm pretty sure that soon Otasukeman will have to be split off as its own page because I'm going to fill up the page with a lot of information about it.
For my part, I feel that Team Rocket works best when they're at that goofy baseline. Them failing when they try to be villains and succeeding when they're just doing their own thing or try being heroic is a solid framework that manages to wring a lot of fun depth and nuance out of their characters even after two decades of their antics.
Having them be straight villains for a while was an interesting change of pace and I did enjoy seeing that for a bit, but I quickly tired of it since they changed the characters a bit too much in pursuit of that, and abandoned what made them enjoyable for me to begin with. I assumed that was the general consensus honestly, hence my confusion at that YMMV entry.

I'm always very suspicious of Audience Reaction entries for works with massive fandoms like Pokemon. Especially with the entries is written with an opinion that just seems a little too specific.

YMMV entries in general kind make me second guess my memories and opinions. I even recall experiencing this in other parts of the wiki, like TLP.
For example, a recent TLP entry was "Tossed into the Scrappy Heap", which was basically the inverse of Rescued from the Scrappy Heap (i.e. once popular characters became increasingly base breaking or even disliked). The entry was bombed for obvious reasons (or at least, I presumed), but I recalled including some suggestions myself.
I suggested the poster to include Charizard from Pokémon, since despite being the franchise's biggest Breakout Character, it was increasingly scrutinized due to supposed favoritism on Game Freak's part. This reached its peak in Pokémon Sword and Shield, where it was one of the few Pokemon not excluded by the unpopular "NatDex ban" while the other Kanto Starters were (being the Champion's Signature Mon and gaining a Gigantamax form didn't help). I kept seeing memes mocking Game Freak's supposed favoritism after the G Max reveal, as well as a lot of social media posts complaining about Charizard's overexposure, so I thought this was the general consensus of Charizard.
But after I posted my comment, someone else (I forgot who) made a response comment stating that Charizard still ranks high in recent Pokemon polls, so it is definitely not a Scrappy. And that post make me think: With people still liking Charizard despite all of the new hate, why did I only see the hate? Was I too focused on the discourse, and failed to see the other parts of the fandom? How did I let a single viewpoint completely color my thoughts on other's views?
Honestly I don't know if this is the right threat for this; I just want to describe an experience I had here.
TL;DR: Not really an observation on the wiki, but on my ignorance on YMMV and fanbases.

Personally, some of my favorite episode of the Pokemon anime were the ones that portrayed the trio sympathetically, like "Sweet Baby James" from season 9 or "A Fork in the Road! A Parting of the Ways!" from season 18.
I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.
... what kid watching the show as it was airing would have gotten that James Taylor reference?

Yes, that thread was obliterated by one of the trolls who abused the mod tools. They did other things and probably nuked another thread but the nuking of the MLP thread was dwarfed everything else in comparison.
