Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Yeah, those two podcasts. I never hear anyone talk about them.
I did watch Echo Chamber. It wasn't my thing but it's nice to people create creative works based on TV Tropes related content.
Macron's notesOh, I've never even noticed those podcasts mentioned, hehe... whoops.
Well, in my defense, I don't listen to podcasts period.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallNeither do I. (Though I'm a trans baby boomer born in Gen Z.
) Really more into YT vids, where TVT doesn't have much of a presence.

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Recently read through the past couple of pages in this thread; this Fast Eddie guy sounds... disagreeable, at the very least. Kind of makes me glad I discovered the site after he left...
Though back on the current topic, I don't really listen to podcasts in general, but they do sound interesting. I mainly see them as modernized radio shows.
If it were on youtube I'd listen to it, I like having stuff left open in the background while I do something else.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI noticed that the game that the page image for Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds comes from doesn’t actually have a page on this site, though it is mentioned on the trope’s Visual Novel page.

I’m gonna put some Gloom in your eye.
I see. I’m not very knowledgeable in general when it comes to image picking so thanks for pointing this out.
Cases like that, you can almost always see something to the effect of "scrungus's adventures in hell was removed for failing the P5 standards, do not pothole it" in the page source.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.![]()
I sometimes check the source on those pages and looking up the work either on Google or in the Content Policy forum to see why it can't be here. (And usually not touching the work after that...)
Some of them seem fairly innocent without context (Drives Like Crazy, Backup Twin, etc.) but then you have ones like World of Buxom and She Is All Grown Up where you can kind of... guess the vibe.
And then there's the ones like Class Representative where it seems like a pretty normal picture, then you check the page for the source and it's a hilariously on-the-nose cringe title like After School Sex Slave Club.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. If it weren't for the Image Source pages, I'd think that the images for Student Council President and Absurdly Powerful Student Council came from the same work.
SING TO ME, LEND ME THE SONG OF BLASPHEMY![]()
...honestly, the Drives Like Crazy image weirds me out now in how utterly non-questionable it is. It's kind of surreal that a little chibi cartoon like that apparently originates from a pornographic work.

SNIP per
After watching a couple of anime-themed YouTubers' episodes about Eiken, it's actually not as bad as it seems in terms of content; it's just a visual gag taken to severely cringey levels with crude ecchi humor slathered on like dollar store peanut butter.
Edited Student Council President to note the short's title in the tag for consistency's sake.

Out of the two tropes I launched, Royal Bastard has more wicks yet Historical Domain Superperson has more edits. How does that happen? I'm not complaining but from what I seen, more wicks usually means more edits, so this is quite weird.
CG for shortFrom the sound of it one seems to be a way more common concept than the other. Also people not crosswicking perhaps.

TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
I mean I figured that Royal Bastard would have the higher wick as it managed to reach the 100 mark when I was crosswicking it on its launch date. But even with people not crosswicking their examples on the trope page, I don't think it's the sole reason. 60+ edits and around 21 edits are kinda a big gap.

CG for shortI've noticed a trend with TRS crowners, where because these threads are more advertised now than ever, we get a massive influx of votes, but a lot of people vote for things that protect the current state of the trope as much as possible even if the problem is much more complex than that. I'm not shaming anyone for not wanting to just start swinging their axe at things, but it does hurt my heart a little when it's obvious the majority of voters didn't read the actual thread or even look at the OP before voting.
It's impossible to make sure every thread voter is also informed of the whole situation, but damn I wish there was a way to make it possible.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallNot without something absurd like hiding a crowner behind a quiz.
Just another "average tropers don't read" thing.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThat would work for TRS and IP crowners, but not so much for, say, TLP crowners which can only be made on this thread
now.

On the Rocks and On the Tropes. They're on the home page. Maybe some do, but I watch and listen to other stuff, for better or worse.
