Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules
(in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific ban/suspension cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

Despite a link to Twisted Tropes being in the Community Showcase of every single page of the site, it hasn't been edited since June 2019. The showcase page
has been the same since June 2018
.
Twisted Tropes, the comic, hasn't been updated since 2016, so that's probably an inevitable result.
Suddenly I'm... still rotating Fallen London in my mind even though I've stopped actively playing it.Honestly, I'm not surprised. There was a lot of concern about the lack of quality and opaqueness of "featuring" it back in the day that was never really addressed.
I'm not sure how long Echo Chamber has been The Artifact for, either, but I think it might be even longer.
I remember back in the wiki's Kickstarter project for the site upgrade, we were going to have a Season 3, but it's been years, and it's most likely scrapped.

General Suggestions appears as an orange link, even though it doesn't have a page and hasn't been around since 2009
or so. I wonder what other orange linked relics are out there.
I know the mods never believe the "hit launch on my draft by accident" excuse but it almost happened to me.
I was scrolling in the TLP on mobile and my thumb hit the Launch button. Luckily I hit the X on the confirmation screen, but my phone (or this site, it primarily seems to happen on this wiki) does have this weird glitch where I'll press something and it'll click a different link an inch above where I clicked. So I can definitely buy an accidental launch if someone has a glitchy phone like mine.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
Always open to sharing avatars and chatting. Can message me for either. (He/Him) Currently watching: BTAS
Can confirm I had that bug too sometimes. Though I thought it was because I scroll and clicked too fast or something.
I very nearly did an accidental launch today myself. I was scrolling through a draft on TLP on my phone and my thumb barely avoided the launch button as I was trying to scroll up.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThere should be a query on whether they were using mobile when they "accidently" launch it.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔I am honestly amazed at the people who edit from phones. I sometimes browse the site on my phone, but I would never use it to write anything but the single-sentence posts. Even editing a page to correct spelling sounds like a nightmare with how much text you have to scroll through (since the site doesn't allow editing single paragraphs like Wikipedia does).
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I edit on my phone all the time since I don’t have the money for a laptop right now. It’s tedious but I can still get stuff done for the most part.
But, yeah like you said, scrolling is a nightmare.

Macron's notesEditing on a tablet may not be as good as a laptop, but it's better than editing on a phone IMO.
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Just cleared out 40ish wicks for Famous Last Words that popped up since the TRS that detroped it closed. Felt like a game of whack-a-mole.
EDIT: And just did the same for the 15ish new wicks for Your Cheating Heart...at least that one's been gone almost a year so it's slowed down a lot.

Does opening a large edit history on mobile just kills the browser for anyone else?

If you dig through your keyboard options, you should be able to find a way to turn off "smart quotes".
That also, but if your keyboard is at all decent it'll have an option to switch which one is default. But it might not be.

Within the span of an hour, Timeline.TV Tropes has been updated to note the addition of one
, three
, and now four
new mods. Surely there can't be a fifth...right?

> About to type "Wait, TVtropes is written as two words?"
> The edit tip at the top: "TV Tropes is only interested in hosting a friendly, civil forum. Check out the rules. We do enforce them."
> "Oh, right..."
Anyway, I just google "site:tvtropes.org tropeX", since it assures to be an actual site search.
