Yogg Soron would become the most OP card in Hearthstone history.
Even without taking the fact "Discover" allows choice, Discover cards are limited to the player's class and neutrals unless the discover says otherwise. And class cards are weighted 4 times higher than neutral.
This means that you're far more likely to get a card that's useful to you, since cards that rely on mechanics you can't use are far less likely to show up. The odds of being offered cards that are already in your deck (ie: Good enough for you to have selected them AND work with your win condition) are actually pretty high.
And again, that's before even considering that you get the pick.
Heck, the lackey that summons a random 2 drop becomes insane in some classes where there's only 1 or 2 class 2 drops...

Expansion is live.
So i got the Shaman Quest for the free legendary and Armagedillo from packs.
Guess battlecries and taunts it is
Got Hunter Quest for login and Vessina out of 30 packs. This is probably my worst opening draw so far (regarding the number of legends per packs).
Got a few decks to try out... including a *Priest* deck... which is the first time since Shadowreaper I've actually tried to play a Priest deck.
Got the Hunter quest free and pulled Reno, myself.
I'm having fun with the Hunter quest so far, but Reno... eh, doesn't seem that impressive to me. And I've played so little mage I wouldn't really know how to build a decent highlander for them anyways. I've heard a lot of people saying it looks good though, so I'm sure I'll be able to have a look at things that work eventually.
Quest priest is fun. Sandhoof waterbearer has been amazing. Healing 5 while still actually curving out is such a huge thing.
Crafted the Druid quest. I'm quite enjoying it with all choose one cards in the wild. I initially built is with heavy jade synergy but I never got that far into endgame to capitalise on jades. So I removed all the jades and infestations and replaced them with even more choose ones. I'm trying to opimise it for more board presence atm but it is fun non the less. I still mostly lose to resurrect priests and handlocks, but that is things as usual.
Got Finley, any interesting decks i could make with him?
Maybe i could craft Zephyris just in case
So is Zephrys an insta-craft this expansion? I don't have any of the other new highlander cards, but I haven't opened very many packs yet. Zephrys sounds like fun, but fulfilling his condition, especially in standard, seems like it might be tough for someone without a big collection. (And wild seems to be a massive clusterfuck.)
Blizzard reached for the hacksaw again.
Seeing as two of these changes just reverse the previously given buffs from the one time Blizzard buffed a bunch of cards, that makes me less than optimistic for any further buffing being done in the foreseeable future.
The changes go live on 26th of August.
I like the way Trump puts it. "Oh, Priest is getting a taste of glory. Gotta fix this."

Well it sucks to break the pattern but Boom, as tradition, is way too strong
Even then. I don't think that would fix the problems with Boom.
Also, it's good to roll back a few nerfs. Personally i think Luna's at 6 would have been a nice compromise.
The new mana cost may hurt for a bit, but that's not something Warriors cannot account for. I'm pretty sure Bloodreaver Gul'dan too was looked upon with a critical eye due to his 10-mana cost, only to find a place in every Warlock deck under the sun.
9mana will effect a few scenarios, most notably removing the power 9mana turn of Boom+hero power. But Boom still reads "make every mech a removal card", so it'll still see play in every Warrior deck that plans to go late game.
Just had a great run in the new tavern brawl. I got a quest to win 5 games for 100 gold, so I thought I'd try a brawl to see if I could get to 5 in a single run.
This was my sand-digging team during the Finley level.◊ I'm pretty sure I win, right?
I thought that was the highlight of the run, but then while playing against Reno, I found the perfect counter to his hero power.◊ Well, he did need a good slap in the face!
Went 5/5, finished my quest without having to go into ranked. It was a good day.
