I should, probably check myself here before something comes out of it.
I don't call it an "anime", I'm just petty like that. But so as not to sound utterly accusing, I don't particularly care, nor do I affect how anyone else categorizes the show.
Unless you call it a romantic comedy or a shoujo-ai, in which case I will have to seriously backhand you.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It's Animesque.
It doesn't matternote . I was just asking to not start a stupid discussion over how some people want to use a word. Some people like to use that wordnote , and most people understandnote and nothing will change that. It is pointless to discuss it.
So tomorrow's the big one. Or part one of the big one. For sponsors, anyways. Any last minute bets?
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyThe fact that anime is originally used in Japan to refer to animation just makes it silly for English speakers to use the term to describe western works. We already have a term for it.
Anime as a loan word for Japanese animation makes a bit more sense, it loses meaning if you apply it to anything outside of that.
@Demongodofchaos2 Not to mention that they could do a fantastic job of matching RWBY's visual style, given their work on the Naruto Shippuden Ninja Storm games.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Ruby is a bit of an oddball, but I'd call it Western Animation distributed online.

If "by definition" you mean "by my arbitrary definition that is not superior to anyone's else arbitrary definition" then, sure.
Seriously, this is not a meaningful discussion. Call it what you want, for the reasons you want. But don't pretend to be the arbiter of truth.
You know a funny thing, though? The Oxford definition
is broad enough that it could actually accepts RWBY, as it doesn't define "anime" by its origins, but by its style. Not that this will make me start calling RWBY an anime myself, of course.

Favorite moment in the entire series?
I want to say mine might be the moment in "Burning the Candle" where Yang gets Blake's attention by distracting her with a Laser Pointer. Especially the fact that Blake tries to ignore it first before her instinct gives in.
And I love the scene where Team RWBY is trying to get lunch in the Volume 3 opening.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Favourite moment...
The time that all of S.O.N.G. showed up and ruined Cinder's plans with musical awesomeness and punching Dragons in the face.
... wait, you mean that didn't happen? Hmm...
Probably the almighty Penny-Glomp.
Then the focus of the discussion should be other. It is not about actually defining whether RWBY is an anime or not, but if for the purpose of this wiki, we should label it under Anime of Web Animation.
In that case, I would point out that both One-Punch Man and Axis Powers Hetalia are under Webcomic but with a redirect for Manga. I would say that is a good enough precedent to keeping RWBY where it is but also creating an Anime.RWBY redirect for easy to use. Might as well create Manga.RWBY for the actual manga while at it.

While the RWBY game we have now seems fine, Cyber Connect 2 could make a damn fine larger budget Liscensed game.
Helps that Monty was a Bandai Namco employee for a time, and it wouldn't surprise me if his style of animation was influenced by theirs.
I could see a RWBY game from them having Rengeki's like the Dot Hack series:
