I wonder what symbolism wasps carry, cause I still want to see those rapier wasps. Show, Don't Tell, Rooster Teeth!

You forgot the most important fact there: Bees are actually aliens.
So bees are actually space ghosts in black and yellow shells? Combining this with the fact the bumblebees are (supposedly) aerodynamically impossible, this means Blake and Yang will be taking an airship... to the MOON!

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!They're 18, actually. The age of entry for Beacon is 17 and everyone is a year older in Volume 4.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Even then, the age of consent in most of the world, including about half of the US, is 16. It's only 18 in, oh, a quarter of the US and even less than that of the world.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!That... is a fair question.
I assume it's because she's a self-admitted nerd and the island she lives on doesn't have much in the way of nerdy paraphenelia/gun parts. But the transit time between Patch and Vale is unknown so it's kind of unexplained why she was there at all. Especially at night. When criminals and rapscallions are wandering about, smoking cigars and twirling hatchets.
But considering they have airships getting between Patch and Vale might not be such a long trip. And Taiyang has already demonstrated how much he trusts his daughters to wander off on their own adventures by letting Yang drive to another continent. In the middle of a state of emergency/quarantine.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I think Beacon and the other schools are more of magical colleges, since Jaune need (forged) transcripts to get in. Signal Academy and other institutions would be your magic high schools.
I recall seeing an island on one of the city maps of Vale that IIRC said either Signal or Patch. So, basically a short boat/airship ride over.

Sounds legit.
Got to run me to Philly for some of those cheesesteaks once in awhile.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!It'll be important to come back again...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.

On the subject of hives...
Bees foretell the coming of visitors, and luck in love and wealth. if they buzz around or in your house - or ship - they will be bring prosperity, and if two lovers walk pas a hive before they get married, the bees will reveal if they're faithful (if someone gets stung, they're unfaithful and the marriage is off).
Never buy bees with anything other than gold, or haggle to prove to the bees you value their worth. If you value them, they'll bring you good luck, but if they die on you, you'll be ruined by bad luck. Bees carry the souls of the departed, so should always be treated like a member of the family.... yes, we're back to ghosts again.
Bumblebees are excellent luck for love and ships, so I guess we should look for some Bumblebee fan service on a ship somewhere...
(Just bringing myself back on topic there...)

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.
