I can agree with that sentiment. The joke from RWBY Chibi about how people can't tell the difference between her and one of her shadow clones was really telling.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Not really, though?
I will say that Blake's angst doesn't fit as well in the earlier volumes as everything else. Though, considering the territory they're going in now, it'll likely seem less and less out of place. Basically everyone has had their mode hit, even if they're all trying to move forward.

How is it not? The joke was that, as far as her friends were concerned, there was no difference between Blake and what is essentially a cardboard cutout of her.
That's not a nice thing to say about one of your characters.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Because that wasn't the joke. The joke was that none of them were actually talking to her to listen to what she had to say, and just convinced themselves of what they wanted to hear/already thought.
I mean, your feelings on Blake are already pretty clear so it's not too surprising you'd take it that way, but RWBY Chibi is the first thing to do a joke of this nature.

Yeah, that joke was the "characters complain to/seek advice from someone but in their rambling end up coming to their own conclusion without any external input" gag, which I dunno the trope name for but I've seen a few other times then that.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I took the meaning a bit further. The point is that by the end of Volume 3, she's producing such good clones that people can't visually distinguish between the clone and the real Blake. There was also that question of how long would the Blake clone have lasted had Adam not chopped its head off.
Chibi took those two things and turned it into an extended scene joke: the clone just stays around forever until Blake finds it and deactivates and it was such a good clone, it was visually indistinguishable from the real Blake, as long as no-one tried to communicate with it, but Blake is normally a quiet person anyway. So, cue the obvious gag: everyone pours out their troubles to the clone, so wrapped up in their own problems they don't even notice that it's not the real, quiet Blake they're talking to but one of her forgotten, non-speaking clones.
I've also seen this gag done a lot (Friends has tried it at least twice), so I'd be surprised if there wasn't some kind of relevant trope somewhere about it. While the joke often does focus on a quiet character who doesn't speak much, it's almost always centring on the people that interact with the 'copy' being so wrapped up in themselves they don't notice they're not interacting with the real person.
My head-canon is that Blake's limit is eight clones, giving her 'nine' lives in battle.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Y'all are busy with exams and you're on TV Tropes?
I would holler at the mods, but I'm using TVTropes to get away from academia myself. '<'

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!To be fair RWBY is about high school... college... academy students, so I guess that's why it draws most of us in.
Well it was about students. Who knows if they're ever going to go back to that format.
Kind of depressing when you remember that their college had a Titan dragon inside of it, most of their peers are likely dead, and now most of the main cast is journeying the world and living off the kindness of strangers.
