Eh, I mean, remember what happened to Torchwick.
My complaint is that I'm a fully paid up subscriber for Crunchyroll but if I want to watch it through CR I still have to wait a week. If I want to get Rwby without having to wait a week, I have to effectively pay twice. And that's not fair.
And while I'm not privy to the exact details of the deal between CR and RT if they can't give CR the episodes for paying subscribers on CR, they need to renegotiate. Or do something.
Now my hypothetical business degree might be a few years out of date but, considering RWBY was Rooster Teeth's thing before they joined up with Fullscreen/Screwattack/Crunchyroll, back when Rooster Teeth was on it's own - production, merchandise, payroll - I don't see why being able to watch RWBY on a different site that you've paid for should entitle you to watch the episodes at the same time as a subscribed member of Rooster Teeth.
I mean, it's still their show.
Do the episodes appear on CR the same day that they do on Rooster Teeth's site, but they're "locked" unless you've cross-subscribed to Rooster Teeth? Or do they only appear a week later when they're released to the public?
I don't really carry an axe about people being entitled because, yeah, having to wait a week kind of sucks, but unless RT/CR have a deeper partnership than I was aware of, I don't see why CR subscribers should have early access - watching it on CR means you're not watching it on Rooster Teeth.
A subscription on Crunchyroll just means you're getting an ad-free experience. It doesn't actually contribute to Rooster Teeth's profit I would think.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!What's questionable is whether immediately putting new RWBY episodes up for Crunchyroll subscribers would make them as much money as restricting it to their own subscription service. That seems unlikely to me, but putting them up for Crunchyroll subscribers on a one-day delay (same as Rooster Teeth's own free accounts) would probably make more sense than the full week delay (at which point you can watch it for free on Youtube anyway).
Honestly, my only real problem with watching on RT directly is that their site is kinda shit. Youtube and Crunchyroll are simply better user experiences. I have a free RT account so I watch new episodes (on the one-day delay) on RT's site, but I never use it to watch anything that's available elsewhere.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Bizarro Foil to Jaune, go:
- Comes from a long line of hunters and war heroes
- Didn't want to be a hunter himself though, but was pressured by his parents to attend an academy anyway.
- Despite his reluctance to enter the career, he seems particularly enthused once combat actually erupts and very good at it.
- A good warrior but not at all an adept tactician, since his strategies tend to be rather simple.
- Has a sword and board combo for a weapon, and a family heirloom to boot!
- It's been upgraded with cool modern features so as not to be dead weight.
Bizarro Foil to Jaune...
Their parents either don't want them to become a huntsman/huntress or are apathetic about it. Most likely those parents are dead. Killed by Grimm perhaps? So, motivated by revenge. Not particularly enthused about fighting, but highly competent non-the-less. Highly competent strategist who can create complex tactics. Uses state of the art gadgets.
So... Batman.
I do not understand the mindset of the KIDS THESE DAYS that demand content should be free while at the same time demanding better production values.

I had come up with one for Ruby too, but base mostly on colors and words. Her name was Sapphire Violet and her weapon was Gibbous Violet, a giant axe/rocket launcher. The only real bizarro thing I came up with is she entered the academy two-years late and her semblance was Bullet Time.
She's not much of a shipper (that she'll admit, anyway), but her favorite is Jaune, least favorite is Blake, came around to Roman being awesome (she wasn't impressed by him until his final scene), loved Qrow, didn't like Ironwood till V4, and was emotionally devastated by the V3 ending.

They should try a model where it's sub first, then free when people learn to stop being so entitled.
